The quintessential definition of 'heart of the city'. On a Saturday at 10am the Salt and Light was packed with friends and neighbors gathered at small tables and talking to one another as they passed by. What a heart warm experience to see neighbors still being neighborly!! We had a mocha and a latte and hot chocolate for the kids...all spot on. In fact, I dare say the mocha was the beat I've tried in a long time!

Update: Been here twice since they have officially opened. The latte I had was superb. Even though they aren't officially open they had a sip and shop, so I was able to go in and check it out. There are a variety of items for sale. Mugs, clothing, candles, book by local author, etc. I'm so excited for them to officially open. The inside is decorated so nicely.

Highly recommend stopping here on a road trip. From an Aussie POV...One of the best coffee stops in America (we have done 40 states). The cutest shop with great coffee (even by Aussie standards). Almost forgot to mention that our kids loved the mango smoothies with cream on top.

Update: Been here twice since they have officially opened. The latte I had was superb. Even though they aren't officially open they had a sip and shop, so I was able to go in and check it out. There are a variety of items for sale. Mugs, clothing, candles, book by local author, etc. I'm so excited for them to officially open. The inside is decorated so nicely.

Salt & Light Coffeehouse is such a gem in Albany! The atmosphere is cozy, welcoming, and just has that feel-good vibe that makes you want to stay awhile.
