Subway — Restaurant in Albany

LIKE WOW!! I seriously will not go back to this subway again anytime soon. Not until the woman who was working there this morning at 3AM 11/22/24 is no longer working there. She has absolutely NO costumer service at all. She was extremely rude and made me feel as if I was inconveniencing her. When I first walked up to place my order she didn’t say a word to me. Instead she proceeded to finish refilling all the veggie banes without even lookin up at me or acknowledging that I was there. She had her phone sitting on the counter hidden behind the cookie display watching some girls fighting each other, they were screaming & hollering it was so loud & distracting. When she finally decided she’d take my order. She had an attitude. And really made me feel like she hated her job and I was aggravating her in some kinda way. I had a very simple sandwich nothing complicated. I ordered a Steak & cheese footlong, despite knowing the toaster was out of order, considering there were signs tape everywhere saying so. I’ve always gotten Mozzarella cheese on my steak & cheese subs. This time I was hoping that the steak would be hot enough to melt it. I was very wrong. The spinach and onions and jalapeños were all put on top of the cheese and then the steak on top of the veggies. My sandwich was very cold and plain out gross. Not to mention I’m pretty sure it was the cause of my tummy ache. Although I only ate about 3 inches of the entire footlong $11.44 worth of cold steak & cheese. Walk in to see a sheet of paper taped to the glass, of all the things they were out of, something’s crossed out because they got them back. Toasters were down, didn’t have Italian herb and cheese bread. I got 2 sandwiches, a blt and a meatball. The woman working, who appeared high and I was inconveniencing her by asking her to do the job she’s being paid to do. She put the bacon on the bread, and put it in the microwave. You don’t put bread in the microwave, it’s disgusting. She also microwaved the meatballs on the bread. The sandwich fell apart as she was taking it out, she wrapped it up like it was fine. Got back to my truck and tried to unwrap the meatball “sandwich”, the paper is falling apart from the moisture and sticking to the bread. So now I have a heap of garbage in front of me, and the meatballs tasted chemically. The woman working doesn’t know what food safety is, which makes it even more disgusting. Won’t be coming back, wouldn’t recommend this...

Hesitated writing this review simply because I did not want to be insensitive or mean... The large guy making the sandwiches has the following hand washing technique...he walks up to the sink, blocking the customer's view, runs his left hand under the water (NO SOAP)..then rubs his dry right hand into his wet left hand, with dirty hand water dripping, he grabs the gloves, the outside of the goves are now wet with dirty hand water, grabbing the bread, he moisten the bread with dirty hand water as he starts making YOUR sandwich. I was stuck here for two days. Each time I went in to get a sandwich for dinner, he was there with his horrible, dirty hand washing habits....
