Usually when I visit Los Molcajetes, I have an amazing experience. And because of this, I spend good and tip very well. Usually, the owner is walking around while greeting and checking on his customers. He ensures your experience in his establishment is amazing. You will hear "hello my friend " at some point of your visit. The food is awesome as well. However that was not my experience today. His wife was running the show. I watched her have an attitude with the customer ahead of me. She was snappy, continously rolled her eyes, walked off from the customer she was speaking with through the cashier and simple had a horrible attitude. She was quick to put her hand up, as to say, be quiet while you spoke. During our exchange, she was very quick to advise me that SHE WAS THE OWNER. After advising that I would no longer be patronizing her establishment, she made sure to tell me that's fine and to basically not come back. My family of 3 eat at this establishment a lot. When this establishment 1st opened, we were sure to let family, friends, and coworkers know about our amazing experience. However, I nor my family will eat here again. I hate the owner that I'm used too was not there. If he was, im sure my experience would have been what I'm used too. Unfortunately, in his absence, it was not. I'm very big on customer service and refuse to patronage any establishment with bad/horrible customer service. Although the food is really good, I value my overall experience with customer service...
Read moreThey have the best Mexican food in Albany GA. The atmosphere is pleasant and fun. The owner, Julio, is the best and makes sure that everyone is happy! It doesn't matter what waiter you get, they're all awesome. The place is always packed and everyone looks to be having a great time with their customers. Everyone is smiling, employees and customers. You will be taken care of and have a great time enjoying some great food. I always get the Chicken Fajitas but lately I've fallen in love with the Asada Fries. A bed of French Fries topped with Carne Asada Steak, Onions, Bacon, Tomatoes, Jalapenos, Queso, and it's own sauce. I ask for Sour Cream on the side and I always top it with the Chips salsa. Muy Rico!!! Try 'em, you'll love 'em. Hubby gets Chile Rellanos and can't eat it all and we always have leftovers to take home for another meal. We go on a Friday night after a long week of work, we smile and laugh and eat great food the entire time, when we leave the stress is gone! I love the place!!! It's...
Read moreLos Molcajetes is a solid Mexican restaurant located near the industrial area of Albany. It’s a convenient spot whether you’re looking for a quick lunch or a full sit-down meal. The quality of both the ingredients and the dishes is excellent. The carne asada is especially delicious, as is the meat in general, and the quesadillas and enchiladas are full of flavor and clearly made with care. I haven’t tried the seafood dishes yet, but they looked fresh and well-prepared. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and one of the standout features is the cleanliness of the place, it’s one of the few spots in Albany that truly smells clean when you walk in. At times, the service can be a little on the slower side, but considering the quality and the fact that everything is prepared fresh, I honestly don’t mind the wait. If you enjoy Mexican cuisine and appreciate well-made, flavorful food, Los Molcajetes is definitely worth...
