2-14-25 Yummy House.
First off let me just say when food was picked up they were busy, to go orders lined up, and behind on pickup time. Which I thought was good! Busy is good right? Especially on a busy night like Valentine’s Day. Understandable as I work in food service as well. Until the food came home. We opened up the boxes and were instantly disappointed. The General Tso’s chicken smelled funky, looked funky and taste was bad. No sesame or greens or garnish at all. My boyfriend refused to eat it and he’s not a picky eater. The hot and sour soup was the worst I’ve had. No bamboo shoots, soup was brown, cold and there was an unknown bubbly film inside the styrofoam cup. The pork fried rice was decent, until we got to the pork. Which looked dangerously pale grey instead of BBQ pork red. The almond chicken subgum was frozen bagged veggies with a watery soup sauce. No good. We had to air fry the spring rolls, crab puffs and fried shrimp because they were underdone and soggy. Still couldn’t salvage. The red sauce for the fried shrimp was basically watered down ketchup. The steamed riced smelled like dish soap. We didn’t even try it.
All in all we ended up paying $55 for the meal plus tip. Which all ended up in the garbage. After craving Chinese food for days I’m pretty sure this did the trick. I won’t be eating Chinese for a while. I’m not saying this to bash the company, they were working hard to keep up on orders which I respect. I just want to make others aware of our experience. Overall 1/10.
Next day 2-15-25 We are now both actively fighting food poisoning. Buyers and foodies beware...
Read moreAuthentic Chinese food is difficult to find near me. I am thankful that Yummy House comes close. Most Chinese restaurants Americanize their food to accommodate their customers, and they should If they want to stay in business. I prefer the taste from China and since there isn't a large Chinese population where I live I have to compromise.
Yummy House has a good selection of dishes that fill the need for a night out with my wife. She loves pan fried noodles or the Hong Kong style of noodles. My child likes the orange chicken the best and well as long as it is in front of me, I'll eat it.
If you dine in you can enjoy their egg flower soup or order individual combination plates if you're not eating family style. The pace of the the meal is speedy and before you know it, a tab and fortune cookies are dropped off. Right I forget to mention that the portion sizes are large and more then enough for...

The Szechwan Beef was chef’s kiss—tender slices with just the right amount of heat and that addictive savory kick. You know it’s good when the spice hits you and you still keep going for more.
The Chicken Lo Mein was a whole other level—loaded with juicy chicken, perfectly chewy noodles, and veggies that still had that fresh crunch. Every bite felt like comfort food with a little flair.
The staff was friendly and the service was quick, even during lunch. Cozy atmosphere, clean tables, and the food came out hot and fresh. Definitely adding this place to my go-to list for takeout and sit-down meals.
