I REALLY wish they would do some reevaluating of the staff here!!!! I didn't even want to give this location one star. The food is either cold or missing. It has always taken longer than the average fast food/drive thru establishment. I don't know if I've been so unlucky to get the same cashier every time I've come there or they just need to do a complete retraining on the drive thru Female cashiers. The drive thru cashiers have always seemed to be bothered by the fact that I am there to order food. I've NEVER been asked if I needed anything else (napkins, ketchup, whatever!) You don't get a "Hi!" Or a "Welcome to Wendy's!" It's always been, "order when ya ready" Then you sit there in silence after you tell her you are ready. When you pull up to the window, she opens it (eventually) holds her hand out, takes your money, then slams the window.... Opens the window, passes the food, then slams the window back! I've YET to hear her say ANYTHING TO ME. And this is the experience I've received every single time I've used the drive thru. How hard is it to show Some Kind of knowledge of customer service? A simple "HI" "THANK YOU" "HAVE A NICE DAY". Maybe THEN it would make up for the 15 minute wait in the drive thru for cold or missing food. Read moreUpdate (2022/11/05): Over the past year, the speed of the drive-thru has reduced significantly. At rush hour, you can expect to wait 20 minutes or more. Please don't blame the workers for this; it is management's fault. The people making your food work long, hard, hot hours for terrible pay and sometimes subhuman treatment, both by the employer and customers.
Original review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is currently (2021/10/19) the fastest drive-thru on 24/27 in Albemarle. Their "new" fries are excellent—much better than the crud they've been shoveling out at our McDonald's lately. Wendy's just has a different quality to it when compared to most fast food joints. I know someone who works at this location, and I've been in every part of this building multiple times, including the back of the kitchen while they're cooking—it has always been clean when I visited. And I appreciate the varied menu. Burgers and fries, sure, but also baked potatoes, chili, salads, and now breakfast foods, too. Oh, and they have orange Fanta, my favorite. Read moreLiterally left with the worst customer service experience EVER! It started with the Manager who had to take my order because the person who was suppose to be working the front was MIA. I received the cold shoulder attitude while asking if it was for Here or To Go (responded To Go and food was set on tray). I still said Thank You only to get no response and she just walked away. The Chili was unusually runny so I asked for a plastic bag as it was about to be put into a paper one once I repeated it was To Go. I did not want it to spill in my vehicle a d I got a glare for the inconvenience I guess. WOW! It seemed the whole crew was having a bad day or...just did not care how they were representing Wendy's.
