Very overpriced. Observing from afair, everyone looks like a chicken with their head cut off- there were 7 people on the floor, no one stayed planted and everyone was moving around. Multiple orders had to be re-made in the less than 10 minutes we visted. The customer service is horrible. "Ros" took our order at the register and did not make eye contact, was in the middle of counting cash and could honestly have cared less if there were customers there. She was also wearing gloves and went from counting cash to making drinks to moving to the lobby to mess with the milk carafes to petting a dog to fixing the trash to brewing coffee and sticking her same gloved hands in the coffee filter. Our order had to be fixed and when I went up to grab my food no one thanked me for my service or apologized for the mix up, in fact, when we stated our order was incorrect, the girl at the food station tried to argue and say that we were wrong. I worked at Starbucks for 4 years and understand what excellent service looks and should be like and I would advise against visiting this...

First and foremost, the staff is great, however, like the people who dreamt up Japanese interment camp and slave catchers - the people in charge of the pricing at this facility are morally bankrupt stains on our national conscience. I can only assume the person who thinks that $11 for 1/2 a meh sandwich is who Disney based creulla de ville on, but Disney had to tone it down because this person is far too horrifying to expose to children. Eat before you come to the airport and try not to get stuck here for a long layover. But whatever you do - avoid this place because it’s owners at everything that is wrong...

Love the coffe, service was ok but location was sub par. Black Mesa could take some notes from any of the major chains on store set up.

When you get gouged $15 for a lousy breakfast burrito in the airport, it better be the best damn one you've ever had. I must say the flavor was good but the tortilla stuck to the wrapper and where it didn't stick it was dried out. Total disaster. I had to destroy the burrito to get it off the wrapper. No napkins in my bag. It was a mess. I work in the industry and there are solutions for this. My advice, don't ever buy the breakfast burrito.

DO...

I paid $21.54 for a 16oz London Fog hot tea drink and for a little piece of quiche! The food and drink tasted good, but talk about highway robbery at the airport! It’s the only restaurant open after leaving the security area. I don’t recommend this little airport cafe eatery due to its extreme price gouging. I included a copy of my receipt to show the ridiculous price gouging. It’s advisable to go to the food court before exiting security to the baggage claim area.

Black Mesa Coffee co was pretty good. The bacon breakfast croissant had good flavor and the croissant was nice and flaky. As far as airport food is concerned, it was good and I would stop here again, but it wasn't anything over the top. My biggest complaint was the cost. $14+ feels like a lot even for airport food, but other than that, it was good. I also ordered the iced white chocolate moca which was good as well. No complaints, but also nothing special.

Great location in Terminal A at Albuquerque Airport. Wide selection of drink and food options, they even offer inexpensive Monster energy drinks. Staff was attentive, professional and courtesy. Even with a long line, don't let it discourage you from picking up a drink or snack. I was in and out within 5 minutes with an intimidating line.
