Visited this property as we are HH members. We've always enjoyed these properties. We planned a family get away so that we may celebrate my father's birthday. One of the manager's allowed us to use the room off to the side which was great. We appreciated it so much. a maintenance worker provided us with a large bucket of ice which we were pleased he did this. The issue was the front desk said no. She had him come back in and tell us that he couldn't leave it. We responded by asking for a bowl from the pitch we may use for the ice. We instantly received a no from the male assistant manager and the front desk representative.

I went up to my room to fetch my ice bucket to use for us, as I exited the elevator I overheard the assistant manager speaking with another employee. They were speaking about my family. "What do they expect? they are paying absolutely nothing" followed by laughter. I was floored because as I made eye contact with them, they rushed into the back.

Afterwards I heard another guest (who I would find out later had just checked out). She was by herself and had stated "I've got my jumper cables set, my hood open so things will be quick." She was interrupted and was told that the manager would have to approve the jumping of her car. He's on break in the back and will be back within an hour. As I overheard this interaction I approached the woman and asked if I would be able to assist her. She stated that her battery died and needed a jump start. I met her in the parking lot and she proceeded to tell me how one of the front desk reps advised that she would be able to help her. She was a diamond member and who had checked out. She experienced the rude staff as I had as well. I wasn't surprised.

This was a stay which was supposed to be a great family gathering. It was a nightmare. The rooms are not cleaned very well either. My daughter had lost her shoe, I looked under furniture and saw what looked like a used tissue and a used kuerig container. This was the worst experience and has changed my whole opinion on the entire Hilton brand. If you are looking for a great place to stay, please continue to search. This place...

Hello, I prepaid for our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Albuquerque (Airport Location). The day before my wife checked in, I called the location to make sure she wouldn't have any trouble checking in without me, as I just had eye surgery and wouldn't be able to join her as I had previously planned. They assured me it would not be a problem. Instead, when she checked in, they said she needed a separate card to hold the room charges, as they didn't have any record of my prepaid room. This already stressed out my wife as she wasn't expecting to have to do this. I called numerous times to talk to the manager who was not available. When she finally returned my call, she said she "receives reports of prepaid rooms on Fridays, so mine wasn't in her records." ( This was a Monday, and I prepaid on the Hilton website on Sat) I am sorry, but in this age of technology, can that really be true? Ridiculous. But she did say she would look into it and make sure my wife's card wasn't charged. This morning I received the automatic checkout folio and it says that the room charges WILL be settled on my wife's credit card! What is going on here?! Is this really a Hilton property?! I have a credit card statement that says I have already been charged for this room! Why am I being charged twice for the same stay? I have been a loyal Hilton Honors member for a while, and usually get great service. This is a huge let down. Very frustrated and upset at having to strain my one good eye after surgery to have to write this. Very disappointed in Hilton right now. Inexcusable. Now I look at previous reviews and see that other people have been charged twice at this location before. Buyer Beware! The funny thing is that I had previously stayed at this exact location last week for 2 days prior to my surgery, and I booked through Expedia with ZERO issues. But when I booked through Hilton as a Hilton Honors Member, this is what happens. I guess membership does NOT have its privileges. I will have to think twice before booking with Hilton again...

After a long and tedious day of travel with nearly everything that could go wrong doing so, I was looking forward to a “no hassle” stay at HGI. Unfortunately, that’s not what I got. |First, likely through no fault of the hotel, the digital key system wasn’t working. At first, this was just annoying. But upon arriving at the hotel, it became even more of an issue. The front of the hotel was completely blocked by cars, so I thought I’d just go ahead and park and check in. The problem is that the parking deck is down a long ramp. The door to the elevators going to the front desk was locked - had I had a digital key, that wouldn’t have been an issue. So instead I had to trudge back up the steep ramp in the rain and dark which made it very dangerous. |Check in was relatively uneventful and efficient. |The room was absolutely not up to HGI - or ANY Hilton property - standards. |Every corner of the bathroom and shower was dirty and/or mildewed. I’m not sure that there wasn’t black mold in some areas. |The bedside table even had “gunk” on it. |The closet area is hardly that! There is barely enough space to hang more than one or two shirts. There are a few shelves but they are too shallow to be of any use. There was a small dresser under the tv, but it is apparent that they expect this to only be a one-night-stay type of place for people coming and going from the airport. I’m certainly glad I only stayed one night, and I won’t repeat that mistake. |The only bright spots were that the water pressure in the shower was fantastic and it heated up quickly. Also, the Hilton Reward waters were in the mini fridge and nicely chilled. |There are a lot of nice places to stay in ABQ. This isn’t...

At first, this hotel seems to be like your average Hilton. After check in, as you head down to the car park, you realize that this is no Hilton. This is the ghetto, with trash and beggers strewn about. We did not feel safe exiting our vehicle. Our quick walk to the doors of the hotel seemed like a lifetime. As we entered the elevator, there was graffiti etched into the walls (nice touch). Exiting the elevator on the floor where our room was located, was dark and seemed dirty. We entered our room and I instructed my children to not remove their shoes. The carpet was well worn, stained and the floor as a whole was unlevel. I did a quick sweep of the room with a Clorox wipe of the highly touched surfaces, it was disgusting. The door to the bathroom did not close properly and you could tell it hadn’t for some time. The stain on the bathroom wall was unsightly along with the stains on the curtains. The tub/shower had stains and did not work properly. The room was very small. We reserved a queen room with 2 beds and got a room that had double beds instead. At this point we were exhausted and didn’t feel like trying to move rooms. The air conditioner was loud, the beds were lumpy and the pillows were thin. We could hear our neighboring rooms conversations and other activities. In short, no, we will not be staying here again.

From a stellar experience in Stroud, OK a few days prior, I thought we would get the same service from this Hilton in Albuquerque, after all it is a Hilton with high values and standards! After a 14-hour driving day, we were greatly disappointed by the front desk agent, Spencer who did not bother to greet us on entry, or ask how he can help us when we arrived at the desk! Checked us in promptly to Room 122, which smelled like somebody dropped their deuces just before we arrived. It smelled terrible!!!! I asked Spencer for another room (Room 333) and he obliged, but seemed agitated to help me! As a Hilton member I was expecting complimentary waters as we usually get it from other Hilton’s! There was no direction from him on breakfast hours, where gym, laundry or pool was located and it’s hours! He did not wear a name tag or work attire that represented the Hilton namebrand! I wasn’t sure if he even worked for the hotel! The front desk lady this morning (Jan 4) was more approachable and presentable! Now to the room. Room was ok. A bit dated! Shower pressure was fine! Bed was comfy! All in all! We love the Hilton brand and their generally comfy and clean hotel rooms!

Place looks nice inside and out but only thing is the parking sucks!! Theirs an underground parking but it’s not lower car friendly and the roads are awful. But they have A security guard that starts at 10pm and watches the cars that’s a plus , the staff up front they were great and but our family that stayed on the 3rd floor with us and they said their room was hunted, they keep hearing knocking noise and someone walking around so they didn’t get enough sleep , our room was 304 king room . Slept good, no noise and glad the walls are not thin like some hotel so it was good. Only thing was one trash can and one wash cloth so that I didn’t like . But other then that it’s all good.
