See the attached receipt from Village Inn on Yale Blvd in Albuquerque, NM. My name is Jeff Martinez. I am a local business owner in Albuquerque, NM. Went into eat lunch today at your restaurant (see the receipt attached). I ordered a Ruben. I specifically asked the waitress if the pie was free today (because it was Wednesday).. She said yes. Brought me out a pie which was over microwaved and soggy. See the picture of your advertisement and the pie I received!! To myself I said, "Well the pie is free, why complain.. I will just eat the soggy over microwaved piece of pie and keep my mouth shut." I come to find out the pie WAS NOT FREE.
She brought me my bill which had a pie charge on it. and the waitress stated the cashier would remove the pie charge listed on my receipt because the pie was FREE.
When I brought my receipt up to pay, the manager said he would have to charge me for a beverage to get the pie for free. (this is NOT what the waitress stated).. I did drink a beverage, which was a glass of water... the point is I was never told the terms of the transaction for the free pie. The manager was rude, so I just said I would pay for the pie and then I proceeded to tell the manager the pie was soggy and over microwaved. I specifically told him I had a picture of it. He ignored and did not resolve the issue of my free pie which I was overcharged.
I would have never have ordered the pie if I understood, but NO ONE TOLD ME. There was no disclosure or anything on the table or walls about having to order a "beverage" to get a free pie. The waitress did not even say her name, nor filled up my glass of water when it was empty. I had a horrible experience. Why offer free pie when the pie is not free? I recommend to go to Denny's which is a few...
Read moreUpon entering the restaurant the atmosphere seemed a bit weird. Employees were not friendly, welcoming or even smile. A bad day perhaps? The waitresses we're later arguing about who's job was who's.
We received our drinks and WOW! The coffee decanter was dirty on the outside. Opening it revealed even worse... It had not been cleaned in a VERY long time. It appeared to have mold on the rubber ring! No coffee for me! The dining area seemed a bit ignored as well. Soda on walls and ceiling. Dirty doors and serving areas. Checking the restrooms we noticed they had not been cleaned in a very long time! Urin had even crystalized on the stall walls. Now, how long does that take to happen? Nothing appeared to have been wiped. Not using these restrooms!
Our meals appeared to be the only thing in order. They were hot and fresh. The flavors we're there as well. The waitress dropped our ticket with our food which made us feel a bit rushed even with very few customers. She seemed to be ignoring us when trying to order desert. The manager had to take and serve our desert order. It would have been nice if she washed her hands before serving it! At least she tried to smile.
The poor service, attitude and cleanliness starts from the top down. I took many pictures and decided to call the Albuquerque Health Department and Villiage Inn Corporate Office to report the lack of cleanliness and issues here. I will NEVER come here again!!!!
I think only two photos will post on the review. Too bad because this place was...
Read moreCame to eat here with my husband, toddler and infant. It was my birthday. Also, Father's Day 2018. They sat us down for 10 minutes without giving us menus. They forgot items on my husbands plate and added things I'm allergic to onto my plate. So, I was unable to eat. Then they proceeded to get my 2 year olds entire order wrong. So he refused to eat. I asked them multiple times for the chocolate milk I had ordered him. To calm him down, and they just kept putting it off. The staff got extremely upset bwcause our toddler was fussy and loud (and there was no one eating there besides another father with his young children. That understood kids are fussy at 2.) They brought over his chocolate milk basically as we were already packing up and leaving. The cup they brought my 2 year old was damaged so when he picked it up the entire cup of chocolate milk spilled onto his lap. We left on my birthday and my husbands fathers day, both covered in chocolate milk, with a screming, cold and naked toddler. And paid for our entire meal regardless of our son not being able to eat or drink what they brought him. The staff was very rude, inconsiderate and lazy. I've worked retail, customer service, wait staff and managment for some time and I have never seen such poor customer service. Very disappointing. We ended up eating at Wendy's moments lady after we spent $30 there. Just so we could eat and feed...
