We visited this new Burger King for the first time yesterday, 3/9/19 and it wasn't the best experience. It wasn't very busy at 5:25pm and we were first in line at the drive-thru.
My wife and I ordered several whoppers, drinks and fries & rings-nothing too complicated. We were promptly told to pull up to a space in the parking lot and someone would bring our food out. It was really an excessive wait (almost 10 minutes which is long to me) and when the angry-looking woman brought out our order, there was no receipt and we never got the opportunity to ask for dipping sauce for our onion rings, salt or extra napkins.
There was no "Thank you" from her- just a "Heres your food". I noticed too that this unhappy BK worker also brought out 2 other car's orders that were after us, meaning, she saved herself a trip by taking all 3 orders out to the cars waiting, and with us being first, ours sat inside longer than anyone else's orders!
Did I say I never got a receipt???
I won't do the drive-thru and will ONLY go inside. YOU'VE...
Read moreI think today is their first day open. By my experience not a strong start.
I went through the drive thru and ordered two Whoppers with cheese, one of those without mayo. They asked if I wanted mustard instead of mayo, to which I replied, No, just no mayo. They asked if I wanted ketchup while I ordered and again when I was getting my food. Both the young man who took my order and payment and the young woman who handed me my food were friendly and she said Happy New Year, sho that's nice.
They charged me 40 cents for cheese on each Whopper, but I got one with no cheese, no tomato, and no mayo. (The sandwich wrapper was marked no mayo, but the tomato and cheese were unmarked.) I live right down the street in Sundoro and by the time I got home about four minutes later the burger was so cold it was like it had been in a fridge. Not a good first impression.
I'd recommend going inside and eating there so you can correct your order if need be while they work...
Read moreOrders are consistently wrong. I order off the menu and select a bacon double cheeseburger and am consistently given a single patty but billed for the double. They automatically upsize you to a medium or large combo without asking. You don’t find this out until much later when your credit card statement arrives or when you see a gigantic drink, usually the wrong drink, and more fries than you want.
They get away with this by having you drive ahead and park outside the front door. Then when you are given the wrong order and no receipt they hope you don’t come back in. You have to beg for a receipt and the one you’re given may or may not match what you ordered. It’s the law, but apparently they don’t have to follow it. You have no idea what is being billed to your credit card. You know you’re in trouble when they say they’ll have your total at the window. The employees are too busy chatting and laughing to do the work...
