The worst experience I've had. One of their employees JOSE is stealing cash payments from the ordering window!
I was in town and drove my autistic brother to grab a quick lunch here at Chick-fil-A after his doctors appointment. We visited around 1pm on Wednesday Oct 4, 2023. There was about a 20 minute wait before we got to the ordering menu. We ordered our food from a older employee named Jose who had an tablet near the menu. After we ordered he asked card or cash. We said cash and he said he could take our payment there. We handed him the cash and continued through the window as we approached the window the girl said the card we used didnt go through and we needed to pay for our meals. We explained we paid cash and handed the cash to Jose at the ordering window. We were told to pull in the parking lot for it to get sorted out. I thought they would make contact with Jose and it would have been a miscommunication issue and they would be bringing out our food. I was wrong. The younger manager came out and said That there was no money's exchanged and we needed to pay for our food again. I explained to her we had handed cash to Jose and but I guess he told them that he had never received any cash. I immediately called the 1800 number and explained what had happened and that we handed cash over at the ordering menu and did not receive any food. They told us it was a privately owned location so that they would handle it differently than corporation because it was privately owned and we would be getting a call soon. About an hour later got a call from the manager on shift hoping for an apology he did the opposite by reiterating everything that was said before that there was no money's exchange and nothing he could do. I asked him if there was a camera that they could look at he said yes but didn't even know what we drove and said there was nothing he could do. I asked him if he didn't even know which car we were driving how could he have saw in a camera plus if he really did see it in a camera he would have saw that there was indeed cash exchanged. He was very unhelpful and couldn't answer a lot of questions just kept saying he could not help us and he was sorry. Any good manager would have made it right or they would have offered some sort of resolution however this manager did neither. The whole ordeal lasted about an hour. Long story short we paid for food we didn't receive one of their employees Jose is stealing Money at the ordering menu when someone pays with cash and the owner is oblivious or is turning a blind eye to the issue. I think there should be a news story that their employees Jose forsure are pocketing money at the ordering window. The manager is either in on it or such a terrible manager he doesnt know what's going on at his own location. This experience probably takes the cake for the most insane drive through incidnt I've ever had. I didn't know whether to make a police report or who to talk to. We paid for something and didn't receive because one of their employees Jose thieves cash at the order window. If it was taken care of professionally and efficiently that would have been one thing but on top paying for food not received and being made felt like I was a liar was the most unprofessional, embarassing experience that I've ever had at a fast food restaurant in my life. Congratulations Chick fil A Albuquerque you win that one. I have told all my friends and family about this...
Read moreI recently visited the Chick-fil-A location at 4001 Coors Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87120 and had another incredibly disappointing experience. To start, I ordered a kids meal, but when I received it, I found that the chocolate milk was completely forgotten. This was particularly frustrating as this isn’t the first time this has happened at this location and with two kids in the car I can’t always get them out, go inside and correct the error.
When we finally get home, the fries, my wife’s 12 piece grilled chicken nuggets, and the chicken nuggets from the kids meal were disappointingly cold. Keep in mind that we live less than 5 minutes away from this location. That is not what I expect from Chick-fil-A, a place known for its quality and freshness. The lack of attention to detail in food preparation was quite evident.
What's even more frustrating is that when I tried to reach out to their customer service line to express my concerns, I was met with extreme frustration as the line repeatedly hung up on me after I pressed “2”. This complete lack of support and accountability for customer feedback is unacceptable.
I have been a loyal Chick-fil-A customer for years, but this experience has left me deeply disappointed. I vow never to return to the 4001 Coors Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87120 Chick-fil-A and strongly urge them to improve their food quality, customer service, and responsiveness to customer complaints.
Update: After reaching out to the phone number provided, we decided to give this Chick-fil-A another chance to see if the experience was better for dine in. While the food itself was fine, the experience left much to be desired. We waited 20 minutes for our order, only to discover it had been sitting on the counter. Thankfully, the food was not cold, but the tables were unclean. Although I appreciate the management’s efforts to rectify the situation, I still cannot, in good conscience, recommend others to dine here until significant improvements are made in service efficiency and...
Read moreTied for the worst service ever. There should be a zero-stars option. Have always loved Chick-fil-A's service, and the family enjoys their food (I'm partial to only the Spicy Chicken Deluxe and Strawberry shake). It was passing by Albuquerque on road trip with my son and stopped by for food. There were 2 lines of cars about 20 cars deep each, so I went inside instead (CFA tends to be busy). No line inside and ordered chicken sandwich and an 8-piece nugget, simple enough. Five minutes in, a young man walked in and waited for 5-10 minutes for someone to take his order (no line mind you) and left without being taken care of. Ten minutes in, one of the workers asked me my name and nothing else. Fifteen minutes in, I asked the cashier why it was taking so long and she explained "they were waiting on patties". Meanwhile, I see tray after tray of chicken sandwiches coming out of the kitchen and being packed into insulated bags (likely for some event they were catering). Twenty minutes in I asked for a refund. Cashier told manager about refund and then the same person who had previously asked my name, just threw a brownie on the counter towards me (kind of like one throws keys on a table when coming home, just nonchalantly) with no explanation, no apology, no eye contact, Tremendously disrespectful, kind of like 'take this brownie and wait'. Manager didn't know how to do refund and had to call a 2nd manager. Offered to give me food for free, by then I had enough of ABQ CFA and declined offer. Then she said "here take this brownie". I said 'I don't want your food or damn brownie, thank you"....
