Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Albuquerque

Absolutely terrible service.

It all started out by calling church's and attempting to see if they had any specials going on. The lady on the phone hardly understood a thing that we were saying and then ended up hanging up on us. We ordered off of a 3rd party order site for pick up. All went well and we used a special they had on their site for spicy chicken, sides and biscuits. When we went in to get our order, the moment we stepped through the door we were met with unhappy eyes and no greeting. We went up to the front desk, my husband said hello and that we had placed an online order and we were there to pick it up. The girl that he was speaking to at the front desk looked annoyed and everything that she said gave the impression that she was annoyed (we had no interaction with her at all before this. The attitude was unbelievable). She looked for our order in their system and someone else grabbed it from a compartment. I, noticing that they were giving a ton of attitude, kicked up the sweet voice to try and diffuse any situation that was going on, and asked if there was any way that we could get some ranch with the chicken. She looked at me like I had asked her to do something ridiculous. Then she rolled her eyes and looked at the other girl and asked if we had put that in the app order. I asked my husband if it was an option in the app and he said no. I said that it was fine if she couldn't give us ranch. She then rolled her eyes again and said that no she could. Then she put in 2 containers of ranch (we ordered 16 pieces of chicken to give you a bit of an idea how silly that is...) to our bag. We said thank you and left. We could not believe how hostile they were even as we entered the door and could not think of why, still can't believe it now. Sadly... That was not even the end of it. We went home, about 10 minute drive, and find that we did not get the biscuits. I loooooove church's biscuits, and it was the main reason why we used this special and not one just for the chicken. So I was pretty upset. Our receipt also said that we should have got biscuits. We headed back. We took the chicken in case they asked for proof, but left them in the car. When we went back, we were met with the same hostility from before right away. Even when they were shown the receipt, the response was that it just prints out that way, you don't get biscuits for the order, the app does not offer that. My husband then pulled up the app order and it showed the biscuits on the order. The lady at the front then told us that it did not show up on their side that was (in an annoyed and confrontational voice) and waited for a response. My husband then let her know that this was false advertisement and that he had paid for the biscuits, and he would need to speak to the manager if he was not going to get them. They then grabbed the biscuits and we left.

The chicken was good. The sides were good. The biscuits only had a small dash of their honey butter spread stuff, but they were still good. But this was the absolute worst customer service that I have ever experienced and I will not be going back to this location next time I am...

This location always does an awesome job with large orders. Every Saturday my GM provides lunch for his staff which is anywhere from 60-70 people; 97% of them being men with a huge appetite. I had called to place an order of sixty 2 piece box meals (no drinks) and a 40 piece meal last minute on Friday for pickup at 12 on Saturday. Whenever we order from this Church's our order is always fresh & it has yet to be incorrect. Most importantly it's enough food to feed the staff & the food always tastes great. The staff at this location is courteous, always has my order ready on time with all the extras: spoons, napkins, sauce & jalapenos ready to go. And whenever the owner is there he's always so helpful, not only with customers but with his staff also. Will continue to order from this location...

At Gulf course/Paradise; young redheaded girl boxing my order; she dropped last piece of chicken into a brown box which was on counter; then pulled the dropped chicken out & put in w my order.. guess she was rushing... She was guilty, cuz she turned & looked at me... I saw her... Then she went to the back.. I was a Drive Thru window... shift mgr rung my order up; I requested a whole new order from him... Told him what I witnessed... He said the counters clean...I also witnessed him; his thumb was n the cup holding it, as he filled it w soda... unsanitary service & not accountable w their staffs actions can & himself..... luckily I did not order a soda... Was Very unhappy w service.... They need a food-handlers In-Service class.... Disappointed...
