I wanted to enjoy my experience at the Lobo, because I love to support local businesses, but my wife and I went here for brunch and a movie and it was not great. We arrived at 10:40, and it took until 11:15 to get through the brunch line. Worst of all, when it was our turn they were out of half the buffet including most of the fruit, all the eggs, all the bacon, and most of the potatoes. So we got practically nothing to eat and were rushed to eat it before the movie started.
The setup was also bad, with the drink station situated before the buffet, so everyone was taking a really long time to go through the line due to having to balance their drink in one hand and serve with the other. The brunch table was also against a wall, so it wasn’t possible to form a line on each side. On top of this, the only cream they had for the coffee was like Nestle fake French vanilla sugar garbage.
The movie presentation was good, but the audio was atrocious due to the echo in the theatre — it appeared to be mostly concrete walls with nothing to buffer the sound bouncing around the room. Very distracting. Would be much better if they installed some bass traps in the corners of the room and put up some acoustic panels on the walls.
I hope they improve the experience. I really want to go back and support them, but not if it’s going to be like this. Despite the Lobo being walkable from my house, I’d rather spend twice as much and drive 20 minutes across town to Flix because the “meal and a movie” experience...
Read moreMy first time there and I had such a great time last night. Paul Rodriguez braught it! This place is very nice the staff is very professional and cordial from the attendants at the front door to the cook and bartenders I also met the owner and they were all so very welcoming and so very nice also just so you know there was no (good seat) truthfully they all are no matter where you sit. It ended up being a full house and man did the DJ sure know how to get the party started. I really recommend this place to anyone that has not been here and if you have you know exactly why. This building is beautiful and I am looking forward to visiting it again. Thank you to all the staff that were there and ofcourse Paul Rodriguez for putting on such an...
Read moreHad a great time. Move was a good choice. The food was a chicken sandwich or a chicken. Quesadilla. Better than fast food but not gourmet. Two of the employees are young men just as personable and pleasant. They couldn't have been more helpful. The reason I only gave 2 stars is, that there was a woman not sure if she was the manager, owner, or both but she had no customer service skills. Rude and when you asked her a question she acted like she looked right through you. Worst attitude, unfriendly, and a little bit scary. That in itself is enough to keep me from coming back. Sad I really good time. Hey lady it was Wednesday at the Lobo, not the...
