I enjoyed my visit here. I was looking forward to some Irish pub food and I've heard this is the place. Being carded at the door was a little weird/scary because I thought the lady was going to tell us no kids (brought my teen son) but I guess that's how they roll here and we were allowed in. Thrilled to find out they had Guinness Zero here! I don't drink alcohol but miss Guinness & it was terrific! We ordered a Pub Burger, Fish & Chips and both were excellent--fries went a little limp but the teen ate em' up just the same. I regret not asking for hot sauce for the cole slaw which was fine, it just needed some pep! Bread pudding was a little dry on the outside but moist and tasty in the middle--definitely sharing size! The atmosphere was a bit loud because of the acoustics but it wasn't particularly busy--just us and maybe three other tables & a handful at the bar. Music was good--90's stuff was on and some Irish style tunes--so glad it wasn't country lol. We were there 3pm the day before St. Patty's to try and avoid the inevitable chaos. Parking is non existent so you must find places a block down the streets surrounding or at meters if available. Staff was busy but friendly. Our waitress (Haley--blonde gal) was friendly and accommodating. I hope to come here again someday as it was a nice diversion from the usual ABQ stuff. Great food, about $30 a person here though. Definitely recommended for some tasty pub style food!

When you go to a pub, you’ll get pub fare. I love fish and chips, and I’ve been looking forward to trying TF’s version as it’s so well known. Their dish is aptly called The Two Fools Fish & Chips. Their description of the dish is: “Our award winning recipe begins with two pieces of our house ale battered, sustainable, North-Atlantic haddock, served with chips, homemade apple coleslaw & tarter sauce.” The portion of the haddock pieces was enormous. Two adults could have easily split the dish. The fish was good, and the fries were delicious. The apple coleslaw was fine; I would have preferred the apple pieces not be in as big of chunks. The tartar sauce wasn’t like a tartar I’ve had before. It was very, very creamy, to the point it didn’t seem like tartar sauce. I didn’t like it very much. My husband had the bangers and mash. We both tried it, and it was completely and utterly tasteless. While the Irish aren’t known for their cuisine, I want my dishes to at least have at least a little flavor. We both agreed we’d not get that dish again. Overall, it’s a pub with pub fare. If you’re getting the fish and chips, you’ll only need a half portion. And hopefully the tartar is actually tartar.

This was our second time visiting Two Fools and the second time we loved it! The first visit I ordered the Jester's Pot Pie, mostly because another person complained about it having green chile and it was too hot to eat! It is absolutely delicious, the green chile is not hot, for New Mexicans! The crust is flakey and golden brown, it doesn't overwhelm the dish with too much breading! This second visit we tried the fish n chips, I have to say, I don't think I've ever had a better fish n chips, anywhere! Unfortunately I ate too much appetizer and couldn't eat as much fish as I would've liked! I won't do that again! The fish is firm but tender, has a great flavor, not too "fishy" the crust is thin and very crispy and delicious! The apple cole slaw is so unique and very good! Nice chunks of apple really add to it, making it better than regular cole slaw. The tatar sauce is not your normal tatar sauce, we really liked it! As far as drinks go, I was very happy to see they have E.H Taylor bourbon, I was in bourbon sipping heaven! I'm already looking forward to the next visit, which will be soon!

Update: just came from having lunch there. Wow... I haven't left a place like that feeling this disappointed in awhile... It took forever to get service. I think there was only one guy working and all the tables were full. So I get why he took forever to do anything for us. The booster seat must be stored by the kitchen because it reeked of old stinky cooking oil. Now I have to wash the seat cover I always use because it stinks really bad now. I got the Jester's pot pie, I used to love it. It was creamy and delicious. This time around... Idk, it's all crust and hardly any of the juicy pot pie filling I used to love. Smaller portions but the price continues to rise. I decided to try something different and order the chile cheese chips... Ugh. They looked really good when he first brought them but once I started eating them, it was highly disappointing. Literally just a huge pile of fries with a huge chunk of melted/toasted, shredded cheese and some green chile sprinkled randomly around but just on the top. The menu said gooey. It was not gooey at all. It is just an overpriced side of fries. Sat for 30 minutes waiting for the waiter so I can ask the fries be removed. He never showed up. I had to ask another waiter and he said he would help me. When I brought up the issue with the fries, he said, I will see what I can do and be right nack. He came back with the fries still on the ticket and I turned around to ask him to take them off and he was gone. Thank goodness the manager saw me standing up and made it right. I would say that I lost one of my favorite places to eat, but I will definitely go back for fish and chips but not for anything else.

Two fools is always so good. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here. Everything is so good! I definitely want everything on the menu and I change my mind all the time because everything is so good. Kinda expensive for the fish & chips so we don't eat here very often but if you want a good fish & chips, this is definitely your place! I don't even like fish but this one is so good!! Owners seems like they're always there and they're cleaning up the tables just like all the other workers. Love the humility. If you want good food, this...

Okay so, I feel like I am always just posting bad things (I’m not but I point out behavior) and dude let me tell you.

Love two fools been coming here since I turned 21 (32 now)

My best friend said it has gone down a bit but I still want that jesters pot pie

Come in treated like normal everything is great still gave a great time and enjoy the set up.

Home boy though (older dude blue shirt manager gray hair ) comes up to the bar with a cup of coffee.

Grabs a bottle with a ez pour (yes I know what that is) and puts a shot in his coffee. Then mixes it up with his little straw ( la de da. ) can tell he dose this often and takes a drink.

Now maybe it was simple syrup as the label was turned away from me. But if you have been in the industry long enough (I have) you typically can see the signs. Guy was shifty mixed his drink far too long and is just sitting back on his phone (legit right now). I may get banned from this place but dude it’s noon. On a Friday and if you are drinking as a manger you are telling everyone around you it’s okay to do the same.. kind of a red flag man.

Still love the place the staff checked on me over and over and it was sweet

The drinking on the job even if the company is okay with it sadly is illegal in this state cuss you put yourself your business and your team at risk. I hope this gets to someone.. sadly after this lunch idk if I will be back or allowed back but legit kind of okay with that as I don’t want to condone behavior as such within a community that has lost lives, people and loved ones due to the inability for people to care.

Good luck two fools.. I...
