I’m here often because I work remotely and LB has free wifi. The staff and service are excellent, above and beyond. But an observation I have from working in here during the summer is that it is wayyyy too hot in the building. I’m sweating while sitting and working on a computer so I can’t imagine how it is for the staff working. I just read through previous reviews and saw that this is a frequent complaint that the owner has “resolved.” There’s been no airflow in here all summer.
OHSB just adopted a state heat and illness prevention rule for workplaces in Aug 2025. Little Bear’s indoor temperature falls between the Extreme Caution and Dangerous levels on the Heat Index during June and July. I’ve definitely left from feeling sick/nauseous from sitting in here too long. Seems like a bad business model in the long run. Hopefully ownership can do better to provide comfortable working conditions for staff...
Read moreThe girl who took my order pressed my espresso as well. And then another guy steamed my milk, so my espresso was sitting there getting sour. I think that's what other reviews are talking about when they couldnt figure out the taste. The espresso should never sit like that for too long. They were friendly just lack proper procedure on curating espresso.
I'd also like to mention there was a homeless woman who came into the shop and she reaked of urine. The whole store smelled awful. I had to try to not gag. I lost my appetite and did not order food from there. It's kind of ridiculous to charge your customers a $5 coffee when you are also handing it for free right in front of them too. The woman was then waiting by my car and asked for money. If you're trying to be "nice", offer to serve her before paying customers come in for a great experience. I googled coffee shop not a...
Read moreThis location gets packed with a steady stream of customers. We ordered the brown butter coffee really good with a couple of pastries. We really like the coffee and have been to the other locations. The layout of the store seems a little off. You enter the coffee shop and the order counter is to the right as soon as you walk it. It feels it should be further down because people have to enter and then loop around in order to stand in light inside. There’s plenty of seating throughout the location although it didn’t exactly feel warm or cozy to me. The place is really nice and pretty clean. The service was OK and I could see how they wouldn’t be over the top friendly with a steady stream of customers. Sort of felt like the service could’ve been a little better. Overall, we came here because of the coffee and...
