I ordered an order for delivery on the evening of 9-13-2020. I ordered via the Jersey Mike’s website. Apparently they used DoorDash to deliver. In any case they forgot one of my sandwiches. I called the store and they told my I could come down to the store to get it. I told them that defeats the purpose of having it delivered. I asked for a refund, to have my account credited. The person asked if I wanted the whole order refunded. I said that was up to him and what type of customer satisfaction he would like to provide. He said he would refund the entire order, which I thought was great. When attempting to refund my account, they said that there was a problem and they could not refund the account remotely, that I would have to come down to the store. Again, I told them that I am in a wheelchair, which is why I had it delivered, and that me going down to the store was not acceptable, as it was their f-up, not mine. Yes I did uses the F-word. Perhaps I should not have, but I did, as I was growing increasingly frustrated. During this time, the person on the other end hung up on me. I called back and said did you hang up on me? A different person said “Yes. You don’t need to be yelling at my employees. We refunded your card, so leave us alone”, then hung up on my again! I tried calling back to see if I could get a reference number to ensure that my money was refunded. They refused to answer the phone. I want to make certain that my money is refunded. Rest assured, I will definitely leave Jersey Mikes alone from now on. Additionally, I will tell everyone I know to leave them alone as well. I would like a call or email from the owner or corporate confirming that my money has...
Read moreBest Philly cheese steaks in the city! Order them without the peppers (Philly is supposed to just be meat, cheese, and onions, but peppers have become popular) and you're set. Good value for the slightly higher pricing compared to the chain sub shops. But you get LOADS of steak in the sandwich. And white American cheese, like it should be. None of the cheese wiz junk. Tastes exactly like the steak sandwiches I always get when I visit and from when I was a kid.
On the deduction of the star, that was due to some errors the store made on 7/7/16. It was my first time at Jersey Mike's since they opened in NM, and it didn't go as expected. I placed the order online for store pickup. I accurately entered the order and it showed correctly on the email. I also added comments for each sandwich, as one needed no cheese, one with the pepper relish on the side, and one of the giant subs to be cut into thirds instead of half. Well, they definitely read the notes and got things right with the cold subs, as I got the pepper relish on the side, but the instructions for the hot subs were ignored. Hell, even the main ordering options list where you choose what to add or remove was ignored. The one to be without cheese had cheese on it, which was a big annoyance, but I couldn't return to the store without getting another ride over there. Of course it was a Philly, so she had to pick the cheese-laden steak from her sandwich and try to salvage most of it because I couldn't get back there within reason.
Needless to say, I was unhappy with this particular store on this particular day, but overall Jersey Mike's usually lives up to my initial review at the top. I'll be back, but hopefully the store gets things...
Read moreI used to go to Jersey Mike's on Montgomery whenever I can. Today when I ordered a couple sandwiches with "cold" green chili on one they told me they have to cook the chili on the grill because it is raw while there was no problem getting cold green chlli on my hoagies for years. While it is "JERSEY" Mikes' the people working there are living here and should know that cooking already roasted (NOT raw) green chili kills most of the flavor and hot green chili on a cold sandwich is just plain stupid.
At that point a couple of the employees wanted to argue with me so I said forget my order and walked out.
Jersey Mike's sandwiches have shrunken in size while the prices have gone up and the rolls aren't as good as they were so I can live without them.
They use day old bread for hot sandwiches.
Seems you can take Mike's out of Jersey but can't take the New Jersey out of Mike's.
A boss type called me on the phone to apologize. Said he straightened out the staff at that store. Told me he'd mail some coupons and asked me to give Mike's another try.
Philly Steaks at 2520 Juan Tabo Blvd NE is just as bad.
EDIT 4/11/24...
Thought I'd give mike's another try... BIG MISTAKE!
Ordered a #17 Mike's Famous Philly.
What I got was a GREASE steak.
Opened the paper and there was a grease soaked sandwich that I'd have needed a knife and fork and spoon to eat.
Cheese wasn't melted and the roll was sopping wet with grease/juice. Wrapped it back up and threw it in the trash. A complete waste of $10.
You're probably safe ordering subs at Mike's cause all they could do to ruin one is too much fake olive oil and vinegar.
If you order a steak...
