Punky's Place Karaoke Lounge — Restaurant in Albuquerque

This is hands down the worst bar to step foot in. My friends and I went inside to inquire about karaoke, and we were ignored by both bartenders. They continued to ignore us, and served other people as we stood in line; even when there wasn't anyone else next to the bar. At some point we talked to one of the bartenders (an older white-haired man) whose demeanor was rude and unwelcoming. He informed us that they only have karaoke night when they have "enough people." He never specified a number of people. Suddenly the same blonde-haired female bartender who ignored us decided to interject — and rudely pointed out that we had to "drink and tip" to participate in karaoke — as if that isn't ALREADY obvious when you go to other bars. Both interactions with the bartenders made it clear they didn't want to serve my friends and I, even though we're of age to be there. We were willing to be paying customers, but instead we were rudely dismissed and belittled. Their lack of service matched with the rundown...

I went with some co-workers, all travel nurses, and we had A BLAST!! You can't NOT have something to do...Punky's is inside a bowling alley with great snacks and reasonable lane charges, then the bar itself serves good drinks, there are pool tables, dart boards, AND karaoke. If you go and don't have fun, it's cause you're lame. It's a hole in the wall kind of place but it's clean, the staff were friendly and efficient, and even on a Friday night there was a good sized crowd but with plenty of space to sit and mingle. I'm only in Albuquerque for a couple more weeks and I'm sad I didn't know about this place sooner. Definitely worth having a night out there. Thank you for an awesome time...

I used to go to this place all the time, but it's seriously gone down hill since I've been here. Samantha was the bartender tonight and she was extremely rude to us, when we asked about karaoke she rolled her eyes at us and walked off. I used to come here all the time because they had karaoke all week. When we order drinks and ask her to make us something on the sweeter side she made us grapefruit juice and vodka which wasn't sweet at all but extremely bitter and nothing like what we asked for this stupid drink was eight dollars. I was very disappointed in the service it's nothing like I remember I will not be back when Samantha is working, she needs to work on her...
