I would love to give them a five star rating but due to my experiences with their customer service, I am unable to. I have tried to online order from them multiple times, and it never works out. For example, today I called them this afternoon to ask them what time they would close, and the employee told me that they would close at 8pm. I called again a little after six, and the employee told me that yes, they delivered through DoorDash and that they were actually closing at 7:30. I said okay and went ahead and placed my delivery order through DoorDash. Some time later, I noticed that Tikka Spice had not confirmed my order so I called them. On both of the numbers listed on Google. Multiple times. And yet nobody picked up, which was incredibly frustrating. The Dasher went to the store, waited, and left and I still had no update. I called once more and asked for an update and the employee said that they closed at 7pm. While she was polite, I was still incredibly frustrated. This is not the first time something like this has happened and I have had to receive refunds from them two to four times because of this issue. Their hours are never correct on their Google page, and that causes the order to go through on the website. How many refunds and discounts will I get before I stop coming back? Once we even ordered pickup, only to arrive and discover that the restaurant was closed for a private event, which they had not mentioned on any of their social media pages. I do want to support them since they are a local South Asian business and their food is good but I think I will stick to just visiting in person, and less frequently. I also do think that they are a...
Read moreSo i expect some heat on this but i am trying to be as impartial and fair as i can. We tried Tikki Spice Food Truck today in the Tractor Supply lot and wasn't really thrilled. I can only give it a 7 of 10. I ordered the Smash Burger which has won best of State Fair for 3 years per several postings, It was a nice large double burger with lots of cheese and medium spicy green chili. The meat was good quality but other then the chili it was kind of bland. It didn't taste like the burger patties had been seasoned with salt or pepper. Not their fault but the problem with no seating you have to take it home and by the time i bit into it 10 minutes later the bottom bun was very soggy and falling apart. The fries were also very tasty but again by the time you get home they were already nearly cool. My wife not a burger fan had the Coconut Shrimp Curry. I dont eat seafood so had to take her opinion on it She said the shrimp was very good quality but the rice was watery and the vegetables soggy. She is 1/2 Asian so she knows rice. She also couldn't taste the coconut. It was good enough to give them another shot but neither of us will be ordering the same items we...
Read moreI was impressed after my first visit to the Corona Food Truck several weeks ago. I was greeted to a perfectly prepared Duke City Smashburger, unbelievably crispy fries, and tasty Chicken Tikka tacos. However, my last two visits (Friday 3/18 and Friday 3/25) were duds. Last Friday, ordered one of the loaded fries, but instead received an old, cold Duke City Smashburger that had been sitting. Today, arrived to the truck on time for my order pickup, just to be told they were "plating" my order, and it would be out in 5-10 minutes. 8 minutes later I received my order of Bollywood to Hollywood fries ($12.50) and a Chicken Makhani Bowl ($15.00). Upon arrival home (a 3 minute drive), I found the fries to be cold and soggy, topped with a cold chicken makhani sauce. The Chicken Makhani bowl was only marginally warmer. It seemed like the fries had been prepared much earlier, so why the extra wait for "plating" is beyond me. The food tasted OK, but the presentation sucked, and the price for this quality of food is exorbitant. I had high hopes for this truck, but will think twice before ordering from this...
