One of the worst franchises I have ever been to. It is quite rare that I even allow myself to treat myself to such unhealthy fast food. 3/4 of the time that I allow myself to swing by this franchise it is already closed, to which I was always quite surprised. Tonight I decided to go through the drive-through since it was not even 11 PM and I knew that that was quite too early for it to be closed. No one greeted me at the window after sitting there for several minutes, so I pulled forward to the pick up window to where I had to wave down a young woman to greet me. She immediately told me that they were closed, to which I replied that I had just looked up on the Internet that they were open until 12 AM. She then responded that they had been closed for over 30 minutes (which would have made their closing time prior to 1015pm) and that if I wanted to speak to a manager I could. I agreed to speak to a manager, the “manager “ immediately greeted me with a sense of hostility and contradicted what the previous employee had said about them being closed for over 30 minutes, to which he said they had only been closed for 15 minutes “I have the authority to close 15 minutes prior to the actual closing time”, which was 11 PM… Granted I was sitting there speaking with him at 10:40 PM which is obviously 20 minutes prior to the closing time that he was giving me, however the online closing time suggest 12 AM. I told him I was going to call the corporate office due to this discrepancy and his ill attitude, to which I just received more ill attitude. When I safely reached home and felt confident in double checking the times on the Internet, I called the store to simply see what those that were still there had to say about the hours. Unfortunately the “manager “ answered the phone and proceeded to be extremely rude about my inquiry into the actual times of the facility and how he handled the previous encounter at the fast food window. I have the entire conversation recorded on my phone and intend on supplying the corporate office with it. This person should never have been given an opportunity for managerial positions due to his extreme reaction to the situation. Prior to my current career I spent many years in customer service and this is absolutely not the way to handle an upset customer. He was rather rude and condescending and continued to argue with me and raise his voice the entire time we spoke. I cannot fathom ever speaking to a patient or customer in that manner. This was absolutely unacceptable. This is a fast food facility, nothing extraordinary or special, and this type of reception is absolutely unforgivable. And several months ago I got home with two buns and cheese....not a single piece of meat for my DOUBLE cheeseburger....how does that...
Read moreI'm a manager at a restaurant and the quality of service at this particular restaurant at 2929 old Knoxville Highway the employees do not care if you come in or not they very rude like you're a burden on them for coming in there to patronize your company every time I go I always want to give people a second or third chance to make it right because that's what I do at my restaurant I make sure my guess is taken care of because that's how we make a living by taking care of the guest and I'll send the guest is always right but we spend our money in your establishment and we feel like we should be treated with respect from your employees they always stand around take a long time to get you food you said the quarter pound of meat is freshly cooked is never freshly-cooked today I asked for the number to the quarter pounder meal with no salt on my fries I said I would like them fresh so they had a basket of fries hanging over the fire and the young man gave me the fries I said I wanted french fries with no salt he got upset that I asked in the lady in the back asked him what was wrong he said nothing so evidently he had a problem with me asking for French fries about the meal I paid for the meal and then I came to your Midland shopping center location and got another meal where to meal at this location and Midland the one on Alcoa Highway is always good especially the one on Alcoa Highway but this one on Old Knoxville Highway I don't understand when customer service is not hard we all have bad days I don't want no one to get in trouble but the attitude and the rudeness and make you feel like you are a bother to them but we paid a paycheck but if they go out to eat and someone treat them like that they wouldn't be happy about this parentsother places. I think that you should have secret shoppers to go into your locations and then you know the things that your guess that patronize your business the saying is true the quality of the food the quality of the service. Read moreMy family has visited this McDonald's less than 5 times over the last year. It is our last choice of fast food in Blount county. Just this McDonald's specifically. I am not sure who trains the people who prepare the food, but calling the quality of the food inconsistent is a compliment. Tonight we ordered 3 mcdoubles and a 20 piece mcnugget. The mcdoubles were prepared as meat, cheese, and bun. One of them had mustard smeared on one side of the outside of the bun. That's it. There was no special request made, yet they were not made as advertised. They didn't put any dipping sauce in our to go bag, which seems to be their standard operating procedure. 4 out of the last 5 times we have been they have failed to provide dipping sauce.
This is unacceptable. Being a franchise means one should be able to expect consistent quality. However, this McDonald's seems to operate on their own set of standards that would be considered low by even a no name food truck standard. The last 5 visits, our order has been grossly incorrect. Every, single, time. Either hire competent employees or pay managers to monitor all shifts. When you don't do either, this is what you get.
