Carlos Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Alexander City

I have ate here for years and have enjoyed it. However since last year things have changed. I don't complain about the food. It is still good to me. The chips and salsa are great. The service is horrible. Every. Single. Time. After you get your drink, they could care less about checking to see if you need a refill. If they bring you the check go ahead and ask for whatever else you need because you won't see them again. I've seen several workers just sitting playing on their phones. I don't even bother asking if I need a to go box. I get up and get it myself. There's only one waitress there that I like seeing. She's the only one...

The air conditioning was broken it was very very hot and uncomfortable in the booth I was about to have some sort of a panic attack I couldn't breathe so I had to sit in the middle of the room under a ceiling fan. I had a shrimp chimichanga and it was good but do not waste your money on the kids meal Pizza. I thought it was a Mexican pizza and it turned out being just a worse than a Tostitos pizza with a little extra cheese on it. My little one said Mexican pizza. Okay we'll get that no it was just a regular pizza. They really need to fix the air condition if they want...

I have been eating at this restaurant since they opened. Tonight we visited, their customer service was awful. Food has always been good until this visit. Fajitas are my favorite with steak, chicken, and shrimp. The price is $13.99, I have always gotten full, plus had some to carry home. This was horrible service, this plate was a kiddie plate, 3 small shrimp, chicken and steak, but not peppers and onions like before, and wasn't hot nor sizzling like before. I always loved visiting this establishment however I will not go back...
