Update Jul 13, 2020: We haven't eat here in a while and today was our third time in this magnificent restaurant. The service on point, server and manager checked on us three times. The mix green salad with balsamic dressing was surprisingly delicious, and I think that the dressing and the organic tomatoes made a big difference. What else to day! The pizza, yummy... nice tasty and buttery crust. I am fortunate that I've worked for amazing fine dining restaurants and this pizzeria is excellent. I hope that who ever reads this review enjoy their meal as we just did.

There are many opinions about pizza, and pasta...etc. who makes the best pizza? In Italy? Not even there, because all italians will say their pizza is the best. Now I am not a big pizza connoisseur, but I have to say that is so far, the best pizza I've tried in the last 5 days(and I have been eating Italian for 3 days in a row). The pizza is a soft thin crust, unless you order the thick one. It's buttery crust is very tasty and the cheese is from a very good quality. I worked in restaurants for 20 years and I know ingredients and quality. Nonetheless, pizzas are not the only good thing in here. Try the salads, there is one with arugula, which I can't remember the name that was surprisingly delicious and you won't be disappointed. Service was right, courteous and fast. The server, he was very attentive and made our request of splitting the salad two ways in the kitchen very easy. For all this I will recommend you to give it a try. Always ask your server was is his favorite pizza and why. Ask about the menu and you'll surprise that asking those question will make you have a wonderful experience. That's why the waiter is a sales person and it also knows what's worth to try. Good luck everyone and I hope my...

We were originally trying to go to Taqueria el Poblana for dinner, but unluckily for us, their credit card machine broke. So wandering down Mount Vernon Street, we happened upon Del Ray Pizzeria and decided to go ahead and try it.

We ordered the pan (12 in) no spaghetti pizza, which has bolognese, mozzarella, parmesan, mushrooms, and spinach. A 12 inch pizza is $17. The thin 10 inch is $14 and the thin 14 inch is $19. They also have a 10" gluten free option that's $14. There's over 20 different choices for specialty pizzas or you can build your own. They make their own dough and sauces here, and all the meats and sausages are apparently ground in house. They also have non-pizza items like various salads, calamari, nachos, wings, shrimp and grits, jambalaya, ravioli, and more.

I thought the no spaghetti pizza was decent, although I really would have preferred more spinach. But I like the doughiness and it really did taste like spaghetti and meatballs, sans the spaghetti.

DRP is an easy and satisfying place to get your pizza game on. They also have a bar and serve over 70 different beers, focusing on American craft beers. Their weekday happy hour (4-7pm) special is $2 off all appetizers and...

Just went to DRP for the first time. Arrived around 4:30 Teusday with a friend . I should have taken the moldy mildew smell that greeted us as we entered the restaurant as a indication of things to come . ALYSSA was the bartender we sat and ordered a couple of beers ( good selection) Ordered the deviled eggs , when it came out I was shocked that it was only 2 eggs split or 1 egg each and that was 8 dollars. We ordered a pizza, the crust was very good and a pizza all-in-all was okay. My main concern was that I over heard the waitress in the dining room whispering to a guess that it was pizza teusday......buy one get one free.did Alyssa mentioned the the promotion , even know we told her it was or first time ....answer no. But when we were thinking of getting the baruta app. She did mention that it did not come with bread. It seems the way she described not having a bread it is something that is requested often. In closing (1)devil eggs for 8 dollars were a joke ....if you can't give 6 halves you should take them off the menu.(2) your staff (ALYSSA)should know the promotion especially since she has been there for a longtime. Maybe her sister the " manager" needs to either...

Honestly, DRP used to be our go-to place with our kids, both when we lived in the neighborhood and even after moving to the next city up. Our last several trips showed how much this place has declined and it pains me that we won't be back for some time, but plainly, it's just not worth it. The service has gone way down, from less friendly staff to food delays and mistakes being the norm. Three times ago they forgot to put in part of our dinner order. Two times ago they changed how they served their brussel sprout chips (putting the sauce on them and not on the side making them soggy - simply cheaper and easier I'm sure), and the last time, our wings were served to us without being tossed in the sauce. After mentioning this to the waitress, she informed us they were sauced (without really looking) and that they were probably just light on sauce - we ordered medium wings, these were clearly plain. She finally took them back to the kitchen and the result is seen in the picture: untossed wings, swimming in a pool of sauce that they just squirted in the basket. If this is what they consider good, we may never be back after going there for years as regulars.

We ordered vegan pizzas but our server didn’t tell us the crust was not vegan. When our order came out, not only was it not vegan, but it was the wrong order. They made pizzas on the fly, but it took about another 30 min to get new pizzas. So we sat about an hour without any food. We finally get our food and as you can see there’s a pepperoni on my pizza. I was too hungry to complain and wait for a new one so I ate half of it. Service was slow because they were busy. The pizzas themselves were not good. As you can, my avocados are on the verge of going bad and the impossible meat on our other pizza was dry and hard. Manager came out and apologized and took off one pizza but we still paid $20 for a bad tasting pizza. Much rather have gone with &Pizza and call it a day.

Great service and the food is tasty but overall disappointing. I’m gluten free for real, not for fun and it’s great this pizzeria has options for me including beer. Unfortunately the crust was not baked fully until crisp and by the last few pieces the Margherti was turning more than soggy in the center. The Hill pizza has a pesto sauce so it held up better. I’d give this place a try again because the all the pizza looked and smelled great. I did politely recommend to waiter that blind baking before topping and then baking with topping which allows the frozen gluten free crust to thaw out and crisp up without burning the toppings. Gluten free bread is always better toasted.
