I recently visited Double Apple Café on Seminary Road in Alexandria, Virginia, and I can honestly say it has become one of my favorite local spots. From the moment you walk in, the cozy and welcoming atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and always make sure your experience is perfect from start to finish.
The coffee at Double Apple Café is simply amazing — rich, smooth, and full of flavor. You can tell they use high-quality beans and really care about how each cup is made. My latte was crafted beautifully with a perfect balance of espresso and milk foam, and the aroma filled the entire café. It’s the kind of coffee that makes you slow down and enjoy the moment.
But what really makes Double Apple Coffee stand out is the vibe. It’s not just a coffee shop — it’s a place where people gather to relax, meet friends, or get some work done. The seating is comfortable, the lighting is warm, and the music sets the perfect tone. I’ve spent hours here enjoying my coffee while catching up on work or chatting with friends, and I never feel rushed to leave.
They also have a great variety of drinks and snacks. The Turkish coffee is bold and authentic, and their iced mocha is perfect on a hot day. If you love shisha, this place has some of the best flavors in the area — smooth, flavorful, and always fresh. The staff takes their time preparing it properly, and they check in regularly to make sure everything’s just right.
What I love most about Double Apple Café is that it’s clean, organized, and truly has that local community feel. You’ll see students, professionals, and families all enjoying themselves in a relaxed, friendly environment. Parking is easy, and it’s conveniently located right on Seminary Road, close to everything but still peaceful enough to unwind.
Every visit feels like a small getaway. Whether you’re coming for a quick coffee, a late-night hangout, or a relaxing evening with friends, Double Apple Coffee always delivers a great experience. The owners clearly put their heart into this place — and it shows in the service, the quality, and the atmosphere.
If you’re anywhere near Alexandria, do yourself a favor and stop by Double Apple Café. It’s one of those places that once you visit, you’ll definitely come back again and again. Highly recommended — 5 stars...
Read moreNOTE: I had a party of 2 and was charged an 18% service charge on the receipt. Good thing my friend noticed or I was going to give another 20% ($4) for a tip. I'm big on tipping and don't usually leave less than 20% even if the food or service wasn't great. An $8 for a tip on a $19 lunch? I don't think so. I asked the waitress and she said mentioned the "system" automatically adds it to the bill. She seemed surprised when I asked about it. I asked isn't there usually charge for parties of 6 people or more? I was in the Restaurant business for a short while. Anyhow chicken shawarma was good but the green pickles they serve were too salty to finish the entire portion. Also, ordered Vegetarian platter it?'s served with warm pita bread that's cut into triangular pieces. The hot mint tea comes with fresh mint and is tasty. All food and beverages are served in a paper cup or styrofoam plate due to Covid. May return but you've been warned look for an extra 18% upcharge on your receipt. I couldn't take a of it, too...
Read moreI’d like to leave a 4.5 start review, but didn’t want to leave a 4 star. So I left a 5 star. I have the lamb chops and a berry smoothie. And oh… my…God, this food is phenomenal! The chef knows his spices! Juicy, succulent lamb chops, moist, buttery yellow rice, three pieces of peta bread, served with a spicy sauce and a yogurt sauce. And that SALAD! Outstanding Mediterranean vinegarette dressing and spices on super fresh tomatoes, cucumbers and other delectable leafy lettuces. Finally, the berry smoothly had a fantastic tart-kick aftertaste. Our physically beautiful and very attentive waitress was charming and highly accurate with our orders. Everything that should have been hot was hot, the smoothies arrived without any melting. Only thing I would have improved was a little of the decor. Casual and relaxed, but a little on the Spartan side. Wobbly table but our adorably petite waitress brought cardboard and stabilized it for us....
