Grapes Lounge — Restaurant in Virginia

I like the night club vibe of the place. The waitresses are very welcoming. If you like smoking shisha & hanging out within a crowded place, you came at the right place. If you are not into shisha & not happy to be pushed/touched by a stranger due to the crowded space, look for another place. I like the music choice of the DJ....Amharic, Tigrigna & Hip-hop are played most of time. Almost all the people in the lounge are Ethiopian with very few African American, white, Asian, and Spanish men-with Ethiopian women:) I gave 3 stars for the following reasons. The place is not well ventilated and doesn't have well shown emergency exit in case of fire or other types of emergency. Mind you they sell shisha. They need to have a limited number of people per the area of the lounge. They let in every person even if there's no place to sit or stand. I hate to see some waitresses taking advantage of drunk individuals. Once the individual is drunk, they overcharge him or take disproportionate amount of tip. I expect the waitress to be professional and make the individual come again another time. I want to remind you that there are very courteous and responsible waitresses too.

DO NOT RENT THIS PLACE FOR AN EVENT! The ad is VERY misleading. There is NO parking, the club is SUPER small, there is NO DJ Booth, the stage is a joke, the club is FILTHY, but the cleaning fee is $189...lol. They allow outside guests to enter your function to eat your food and enjoy your entertainment. They overcharge guests for drinks (not to mention you have to bring the garnishes and mixers) In addition, they say that they are giving "extra hours free for set up", but they don't consider the fact that you have to clean their establishment in order to prepare for your own party. They don't sanitize at all and they only use water instead of actual cleaning products. Binyam was a pleasure to work with in the beginning, however, once money was exchanged and I identified that they over promised and under delivered services paid for, the pleasure, understanding and fair treatment went out the door. Customer service is not a priority.....Markos one of the owners attempted to "comp" drinks for the lack of fulfilling expectations in small dixie cups with about 2 oz of alcohol.
