This place was in my favor for a while but my most recent trips have been the opposite of what I was used to dealing with them. Seems the trend is heading in the opposite direction. ALWAYS double check your order. Multiple items missing from just a simple order of 3 combo meals. When I finally got the attention for someone to come back to the window instead of listening to me about my missing items I was given a crash course in what containers my missing items come in. "Excuse me, I am missing a firehouse 3 way." "Well, it comes in the plastic container the black bottom and clear lid." "You mean the kind that's not in my bag at all?" "Oh sorry about that." "No worries im also missing my GoRito" "Well that comes in a red wrapping type paper with a sticker." Hands me a bag and walks away again while I checked. The bag was just a regular 3 way even though I was charged for the fire house style and the hot cheese. Also only the 3 way no GoRito. After trying to get them to come back to the window my embarrassment grew that I was holding up a line of about 6 cars at this point, it was only 1 car when I first got my bag that was missing food items. Read moreI eat fast food maybe four to five times a year. I have worked as a Executive Chef and a restaurant General manager for over 20 years. With fast food, I never have high expectations with their food quality or service unless I am going to Chick-fil-A, which is the gold standard in the fast food industry. I went into Goldstar Chili in Alexandria, KY on Saturday evening 5/6/23 because I was in a hurry and did not feel like cooking. I wasn't surprised that the very young people did not acknowledge me. Then Ben, who had been working with another customer that had a large carryout order helped me. Ben was extremely helpful, kind, knowledgeable, and he genuinely cared. I had a special order for my elderly father and he went back and explained the order to the cooks to make sure it was right. This kind of service was common place in the restaurant 25-30 years ago but it is almost non-existent these days. She brought the check said we didn't have to rush.When we were done she brought us to go boxes.Ms.Amanda took the tab along with our money. (She even made sure we had a drink to go with.)Brought me the correct bill's of change & she was given her tip.If I had more money to spare I would of tipped her more.
