Fantastic little coffee shop in Alexandria! I stopped in for an Iced Americano and some coffee beans to go and Brass Key left a great first impression. It's a family-owned and run shop; they were super nice to everyone who came in while I was there. The coffee was exactly what I was looking for: stronger and fresher than the chain coffee places in the area. As many others are saying, Brass Key Coffee (BKC) is a quiet coffee shot with a very calming atmosphere and friendly staff. I've been here two times as of writing this review, and I've ordered 2 drip coffees and a cortado. I love the cortado when sitting in, and the drip coffee is excellent in my opinion. For the real caffeine addicts, BKC offers a 'key cup' option where you can get unlimited refills when staying in (this option is not yo-yo). Fantastic coffee, the service is amazing. I ordered my coffee and they actually brought it to my table. I brought my laptop in to do some work and the amount of people in and out while I was there was amazing for this tiny town. I could tell there were lots of regulars coming in for their daily fix. This is a place to visit if your ever in Alexandria Kentucky. The owner talked to everyone as if she had known then for years. I love the feel of this place. You need this...
