I came across this little restaurant along the road by chance while looking for breakfast besides McDonalds while in Alexandria for a doctor's appointment for my daughter. I must say after arriving I found it very clean inside and there was plenty of seating. After a very short bit ..my daughter and I were greeted by our very friendly waitress "Jenny".. I ordered coffee for myself and a coke for my daughter then ordered my daughter the Kids Menu Shorty which was a double stack pancake and sausage link.. I ordered a house special which had 2 sausage links, 2 eggs and 2 biscuit smothered in white gravy along with 2 extra sausage patties.. the food arrived very quickly and I have to say it was some of the best home cooking breakfast on the road... If you are driving by or staying in the area for any time.. I Highly Recommend this place to stop and eat..They have breakfast and a lunch/dinner menu available...KUDOS Pitt Grill Update for 6-14-24 My daughter and I stopped by for a 2nd round from the first.. the food was still good and prepared as ordered.. but the waitress we had seemed a bit pre occupied.. We were ready to order as soon as we sat down..but was told we had to wait in the order others sat down first and wasn't ready to order..so we had to wait even though we had a doctors appointment to get to from being out of town.. so we waited and waited and felt we got placed on the back burner to be after others just laughing and gossiping and not ordering.. I feel this was a poor practice..especially when some folks are literally in a hurry.. I would say if management is reading this..work on this practice because it kinda sucks.. but still not to knock the establishment ..good food and good prices.. I almost want to drive the 1 1/2 hours just to eat there

We were craving Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches, and instead of grub hubbing it, decided to dine in person....its been a very long time for me and I was not disappointed! Hands down, it was the best Philly I've had locally....the bread....omg the bread! It was what we were craving. The steakhouse style sweet potato fries we crisp but soft on the inside....a lot of places can't seem to get this right...i cant say enough. There is a 10% gratuity figured in and you have to pay first....but do not let this dissuade you....its well worth it...this is unfortunately a necessity these days... Our server, "Rho," was very personable and attentive....the atmosphere was authentic, and the people were real. Culturally diverse and welcoming....its the kind of place where, no matter what you look like or what your status is, if you want to belong there, you will! The Coffee....its nothing fancy but its absolutely perfect....if you are craving that down home rich Louisiana cup of coffee in the kind of coffee mug you just cant find any more, this is the place! Also...TIP your servers because it goes directly into their pockets, unlike a lot of places!! I plan to become a regular ...hope to see you there! Also, the busy times widget for google maps was very accurate...the widget said the restaurant was not overly busy and it was accurate....the atmosphere was just right for my liking based on this information.... intimate privacy but with the comforting feeling of having others around. Do not overlook the Pitt Grill!

the best thing in Alexandria imo! THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS TOO MUCH BUTTER Awesome coffee. community. you want cold coffee go to mickey D's and order a caramel frappe no whiped cream xtra drizzle. thing's got ICE CREAM. how'd we reach adulthood without them? we had Daddy pulling up at the DQ, and everybody's hollering they want like shakes sodas , cookies, banana split, Daddy pulls up at the window be all like "i'll have 7 dip-cones" then he'd turn around and just look at everybody, and we be all like thanks Daddy thanks Uncle Johnny.. Daddy; welcome. the pitt's reasonably priced, and i love the food. Ms Audrey's coffee is better than mine. i've never gotten bad food here, and i've been eating there since i was a kid. ms Denise has them cook everything well-done...the cook still says "order up", diggit hippies. i have an Alexa routine...when an appliance beeps, Alexa says "order up!" shhhhh i love a hamburger that's decorated properly. try the bacon gouda burger...sourdough bun omg so good.

2-20-22 Came here for the first time after church...and I will Never return. The waiting staff is awesome. The food? Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. Too Expensive for The Lowest Quality processed foods! I had the country breakfast with scrambled eggs and sausge links. The eggs were very dry and cold--not edible. The grits were okay, but...they serve entirely too much of it. My breakfast companion enjoyed his "pile" order and ate it up like he was starving. We both were VERY hungry, but I will not subject myself to eating food just to make a happy plate. Lol Oh...the hash browns and orange juice were okay and kept my hunger pains at bay. The food I ordered is dog food. At least Queen, the family dog, will get to enjoy something outside of her regular dog food. It's a delicacy for animals...but Not for humans who know what good food tastes like. My taste buds may be spoiled, and I am sure yours are, too, if you haven't been incarcerated for decades. I won't be returning here.

Well I read the reviews and thought I'll try anyway. Got a roast beef poboy made sure they toasted bun because I heard their bread was undercooked. Well the meat was tough and salty because it was dried out the sandwich has a spot of mayo and a strip of lettuce. When asked for the au jou that the menu said it had, they didn't know what we were taking about. They mentioned they had brown gravy but didn't get any which I wish I did so I could eat it. Daughter had a $6.50 grilled cheese which was literally a grilled cheese you could make at home and the cheese wasn't melted. The hamburger was pretty good and the small handful of sweet potato fries we paid extra for was decent. We would've brought back the poboy but there was no manager on duty and didn't want to put up with the wait staff again. Hubby said it use to be good, but some of the items they use to have they don't anymore. So wish I would've went with the reviewsđ

We went here on a Saturday and wanted some diner style food. So this place is just OKAY! Would I go back - MAYBE!? Probably for a quick bite or so. Was the food great - Not really. It was really just okay. We ordered eggs benedict + waffles. Eggs Benedict were meh. Pic attached. We shouldâve stuck to basic eggs like scrambled or fried. And not tried to go fancy. Waffles were not bad - very heavy. Our waitress did warn us but we were hungry! Coffee was good. Bacon was good & crispy. Restaurant is not very clean. They can do a better job with cleanliness. Couple of tables had just finished eating when we got our food. So the waitresses bring the cleaning cart out to clear the tables. But while we were eating, they were clearing the tables & it was hella noisy. Couldnât really eat in peace. Extremely noisy! Our waitress was very nice. 5-stars to her.
