I have never been to a Potbelly before and decided to check it out today. It was a Saturday, around 10ish AM, when I walked in. It happened to be about a ten minute walk from my place and the weather was nice. I decided to order the Mediterranean (on wheat) while also grabbing a Diet Coke and a bag of Zapp's Hotter 'N Hot Jalapeno Chips. Before I forget, let me point out, that the menus both in the store and online show the calories. Perfect for those of us trying to watch their calorie intake for health reasons. The meal was a total of 690 calories. Not bad for a brunch. The staff were friendly and the sandwich marker (or artist) asked me a few questions to make sure I got what I wanted on the sandwich. The cashier was also friendly and effective. It likely helped that there was no crowds during my time in the shop. The sandwich was fresh and I ate it in the shop itself. The chairs, tables, and floor were clean. It likely helps that the sandwich is wrapped in paper AND in a tiny slip of a bag. As long as you use the bag and paper as a 'plate' it hard to make a mess. Also, the heat from the chips was a perfect addition to the freshness and texture of the hummus and the other toppings in the sandwich. I think I will try that combo in the future. I also used the restroom, which was also clean, but is family style. In other words, if three men need to use the men's restroom two will have to wait. Not a problem just something to remember. Overall, the price was more than fair, the food was wonderful, the atmosphere was friendly, and it was a nice way to start my day and my weekend. I can't stress enough how nice it was to have a relaxing meal AND how listing the calories on the menu really helps a person who is trying to keep track of such information. You would THINK listing calories on the menu would be the NORM but there are still places out there that do not do so. Also, the sandwich and chips were filling. I ended up taking half of my Diet Coke home to finish off. I will likely be coming back to this location in the future as it is a healthy choice when compared to the other local food places in the same area. And slightly cheaper. Additional - Went again last weekend. Got there shortly after they opened. Still clean, friendly, fast, and this time also got one of the tiny brownies. Only bad thing I could think of was the brownie, for its size, has 440 calories. Ouch. Still, pretty good though. Update - 8/24/2023 - So ordered from this location and the tracker, they use Door Dash, said the order had been delivered. I called them up and it turns out the driver had been trying to call me but didn't have my phone # but was just leaving. When I hung up I found I had two missed call from the driver. Then he texted me to ask for my address. So he DID know my phone #?!?! After delivery I had to call the location because a item was missing. They told me they would refund me. Add this to all the problems I have been having lately I am taking away a star for the missing item and a star for them STILL using Door Dash. Why? If the drivers don't even know my address how can they deliver food? Update - 9/4/2023. Ordered a big cheddar cheese and received the worst sandwich I have ever had. Update - Seem to be having problems again. One of their staff had to deliver that order. No more delivery. Going to Harris Teeter is easier. Tried to order something from the website - not only did it not work but it took away all my points. Broken - their system is totally broken. Update - Ordered via their website. Sandwich had none of the extras I wasted my points on and the delivery guy almost refused to give me my order because he got my name wrong. Update - Took my points but refused to compete the order. Again. And again. Don't order from their website. Update - 12/14/2024 Been told that to order anything before 10 am and their system can't deliver the information to the delivery guys. Which is funny because that also will happened after 10 am too. So I was lied to. OR they...
Read morePotbelly is a great place to get a better-than-fast-food meal for a fairly decent price.
This particular location is walking distance to my work so I visit several times a month. I always find the location to be clean and the employees are very friendly and quick.
It can get a little backed up around mealtimes as there is some delay in making the sandwiches that just can't be avoided. Bear that in mind if you are hungry and also in a hurry! This might not be the best place at that moment!
Potbelly is always having new sandwiches and other specials so even someone like me who comes often can try different things to avoid menu boredom.
For what it's worth, I think the soups are the best part of what they offer here. They are robust and tasty and not at all expensive. I have tried all the various offerings and they are all great...I find it difficult to choose a favorite, but if you pressed me on it I would choose the loaded baked potato.
Overall impressive food and service and a...
Read moreI ordered online and the order went through twice. I called to speak with them they told me to call the other location to see if it was placed there. I called, no order, so I called back to figure out what was going. That is when I got the pleasure of speaking with Bianca. I'm shocked how a "manager" can speak to customers. The lack in training of how to deal with issues or properly speak to a customer is horrible. I'm out $110 dollars due to the order going through twice and no food. After I requested her name or a form of ID number to report her behavior, she offered to have it delivered. If you order online, watch your account. If you want poor customer service, then feel free to eat here. Tonight I had the pleasure of speaking to an argumentative poorly trained manager, spending 40 minutes disputing the charges with my bank(they handled it), and figuring out food for 5 people. Thank you Bianca for your rude conversation and I do hope you learn how to speak to...
