I went in to Starbucks for a pink drink. I told the cashier I wanted a large pink drink with extra coconut milk. You could tell the barista was busy. I waited awhile for my drink without rushing the barista. When it came time for him to make my drink, I noticed he had grabbed a very empty coconut milk carton and poured the small amount left to the drink. But when he was handing me the drink, before I grabbed it, i asked him if he could add more coconut milk to the drink. He didnāt have to remake the whole thing but if he could just add more or give me a little on a separate cup and I could do it myself. While I asked, he got upset and aggressively threw the drink in the garbage. He repeated, āyou watched me make you this drink and now youāre telling me you didnāt like it?ā And I said, āI was just asking for extra milk. I didnāt mean for you to throw the whole drink away.ā He went ahead and made a new one with an attitude. Another Starbucks employee saw him and asked him who didnāt like the drink sarcastically and he replied, looking for my name on the little sticker, āDaniela over there, she didnāt like the drinkā. When he handed me the drink he aggressively said āStarbucks used to have, the barista promise, emphasis on the USED to.ā I said Iām sorry and left the Starbucks store teary eyed.
I understand that baristas are busy, I understand that it must be very annoying to have to remake peoples drinks. But as a customer, that specified extra coconut milk since the very beginning, and getting the reaction I did from the barista was highly inappropriate. Iām a person that is diagnosed with anxiety and battles with depression. The unnecessary aggression that came from this particular person is very off putting specially coming from a Starbucks store since Starbucks prides itself on inclusivity, mental health and kindness. I hate to place this review but I do think this needs to be addressed and the person at the store needs to be spoken to. Itās not okay to treat another human being with this unnecessary aggressiveness. The name of the employee name...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI donāt usually post these, but I draw the line when you treat certain people as lesser than others for absolutely no reason. There are multiple other reviews of this store with customers experiencing the same kind of problems with the same baristas giving the most terrible customer service for no reason. They took about 30 minutes to make two VERY simple drinks while I waited in line with my girlfriend. The whole time, they completely ignored us and never apologized to us while continuing to make orders for everyone else and apologizing to them if they even took five minutes to make their drinks.
After 25 minutes, I went up closer to the pickup counter to see what was going on because, at this point, I was still trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I realized they knew exactly what they were doing because before I even said anything, they bluntly asked if we wanted whipped cream, which just clearly shows they knew which drinks we were waiting for and just chose not to acknowledge us or make them until everyone else after us received their order. I replied, āyes pleaseā and then still had to wait almost 5 minutes after that to finally get my girlfriendās drink.
There was no apology for the wait, no explanation for why it took 30 minutes to make two drinks even though they made countless drinks and completed orders (customized or otherwise) for people that ordered up front way after us.
When I went up to grab my drink and try to thank her, another barista abruptly cut me off before I could speak with a blunt āyouāre welcome.ā...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs a former customer service worker, I rarely write reviews, but the customer service at this location is disturbing. There is one barista in particular who constantly treats me poorly for no apparent reason, intentionally delays my orders, and ignores me. Iāve never done anything to her other than smile and say hello, but every time she sees me there, she is determined to give me the worst customer service possible while treating other employees extremely well. Even when the store is nearly empty, she makes sure my drink takes longer than everyone else who orders in the store after me (she once even took 15 minutes to give me my drink after my mobile app told me my drink would be ready, all while the cafe was empty). Yesterday, my boyfriend and I ordered drinks, and to his shock, despite arriving before most people who received their drinks before me, my drink was still delayed by nearly 30 minutes with no acknowledgment other than a blunt āYOUāRE WELCOMEā (yet I saw this barista profusely apologize to anyone else who had to wait more than five minutes). I suspect this barista instructs the others to ignore my order as well and act rudely toward me. I tried to give this barista the benefit of the doubt, but yesterday confirmed the fact that her pattern of behavior was just passive-aggressive and cruel, which ruined my day. I've spent so much money at this Starbucks location alone and always treat the employees with the utmost respect, so I donāt know what I did to deserve being singled out with passive-aggressiveness...
