Disappointing Starbucks Experience I'm writing to express my significant disappointment with a recent visit to Starbucks. I encountered several issues that fell far short of the high standards I've come to expect from your brand over 25 years as a loyal customer.
First, I was very disappointed to learn that the Java Chip Frappuccino has been discontinued. This is one of my favorite Starbucks beverages. What I found particularly perplexing and indicative of poor business practice was that the salesperson offered me an alternative for an extra charge, implying the ingredients were available. If the components for a Java Chip Frappuccino are on hand, why has it been removed from the menu? This makes no sense and feels like an attempt to upsell.
Second, my order was incorrect. I specifically ordered an Iced Black & White Mocha with no whipped cream and a Coffee Frappuccino with whipped cream. However, I received an Iced White Mocha with whipped cream and a Coffee Frappuccino with no whipped cream. Due to time constraints and the already lengthy wait for my drinks, I was unable to ask for a correction.
Finally, while a salesperson was kind enough to add whipped cream to my Coffee Frappuccino when I politely pointed out the error, the barista's subsequent behavior was unacceptable. She began to "educate" me on which drinks come with whipped cream and which do not. Her condescending attitude implied I was a new customer unfamiliar with Starbucks beverages, despite my extensive history with your company. This kind of impudence from a staff member is not what I expect from Starbucks, a company renowned for setting a high bar in customer service.
Overall, this was a very poor experience, characterized by a discontinued favorite, incorrect orders, and disrespectful staff. I will not be visiting this Starbucks...
Read moreTwo months ago (to the day), I ordered a drink from this Starbucks as soon as it opened (at 5:30am). I was working an overnight shift and needed a heavily-caffeinated drink to get to 9am. So, I placed the order at approximately 5:31 and picked it up about 6 mins later (the time advised by the SB app). (Things are pretty slow at that time in the morning at SB). My drink was luke warm. I didn't notice it until I was crossing the street, while going to back to my place of work. I grumbled under my breath, then mentioned it to my co-worker. I didn't order or buy from this SB again until this morning.
I went in person to ensure that I could verbalize that I wanted the drink HOT. Someone mentioned to me that maybe they used coffee from the night before. So, I specifically mentioned that to the employee. I thought speaking directly to the employees would yield better results vs. posting on social media or sending a complaint letter to corporate. Welp, my coffee was hot. However, my simple question of "Was this coffee made this morning? Because last time I came here, it was kind of luke warm, like it was made the night before or something"--got me 3-4 minutes of the 2 employees laughing and gossiping about me. Here I thought by NOT posting on social media, by NOT writing to corporate, I was being all nice n stuff.
Welp, guess that idea wasn't appreciated. Soooo.... I'm writing here to say, make sure you ask for hot coffee. They will make fun of you, and talk about you, but your coffee will be hot. Oh, and I saved my $1-2 tip I usually...
Read moreUsually have the greatest experience here but today my family and I had a very condescending customer service experience with Will and Meg. Will was extremely irritated as soon as we walked up to the counter. There was a lot of eye rolling and huffy and puffing as we ordered and once we received our order many of our items were not fully cooked nor cooked to our request. My family was hesitant to say anything because of his already not so friendly customer service but I decided to say something anyway. And when I did he was very argumentative and was only interested in what he had already done not offering a solution. When Meg approached the situation she explained the couldn’t take the food back for bacteria purposes but a new one could be made. Which i got but was also like obviously you can’t take it back just offer me another one from the beginning. I’ve never had so much dialogue about fixing an order drink or food at any Starbucks. Once he remade my food it was burnt to a crisp and not even edible. I asked for my food to be cooked thoroughly not burnt. So now I took it as Will attempting to be sarcastic condescending and rude. I understand everyone has an off day so I’m hoping this could be used as a coaching moment for both Will and Meg especially with Meg being a manager. As someone who was recently a top 11% spender in the entire nation with Starbucks I do have an expectation for service and product and...
