I came here for my nephew's birthday my brother and his family were here and so were my parents. I always give give star reviews so there's that. But here was on in my head remembering how fun Fuddrucker's was as a boy. The novelties of that era like the cheese sauce dispenser. Our waiter was very warm and nice and firm. I always like education and guides and am lawful. In this case I got what I got for years again and it was another good time. Swiss and Mushroom. The pickles starting things off was a dream. The conversation with the kids and my parents was encouraging to think of the future and be realistically inspired. I was charmed by the waiter to think did he have some college or was he a longterm native around here. Afterwards I accidentally got desert and it was good I got a chocolate chip cookie and some vanilla ice cream. Thinking into it I might've eaten my words saying we could've saved money and gone to Five Guys instead. But on that note I am a cheeseburger man and have been for a long time. Inside it was fun seeing other tables and booths of people during this post veterans day pre thanksgiving season. There looked like some hs grad under 30yr olds who were socializing and I could hear sound bites from my table. The dim lighting was quite charming. I liked this being like a Maggiano's type longterm successful business where we've been entertained at. You come in the host makes you feel the moment and then what else um the wait for the food is peppered with family conversations and each sequence of the meal is enjoyed until wrap up and heading off on our own ways. I heard of Ted before and forgot what I learned about him self made business man? Rich guy? Well we come here every so often and it was a good time. They do serve alcohol but I when I was a professional alcoholic never went anywhere other then venues I was practicing on like the DC music stuff. Our private table in a corner was pleasant indeed. I had fun and it was a good seasonal high. My reviews aren't lies and I was invited to do this (I had had mixed reactions before to doing unsolicited reviews before). Been a fan of Ted's for years the price is good to support the working world and have a little more dignity and affluence in public. Thanks Ted's for a great after bday celebration with my company. Till next time. Also it's right by the movie theater Hoffman. I am quite familiar with this I used to take the Yellow line to here and beyond when I lived in Bucknell. Get off at Eisenhower and catch a film in theatres. Cold Stone was over here don't know if they are anymore and so was California Tortilla is I think the name think they closed. The...
Read moreI recently visited your establishment with my family on 6/09, and our experience was far from satisfactory. We had high expectations for our first-time try of bison and were excited about our family dinner, but unfortunately, several issues significantly marred our evening. Firstly, the service was highly inadequate. We waited 40 minutes for our appetizers, and even after that, we had to endure an additional hour-long wait for our entrees. Despite the restaurant not being busy, it was disheartening to see such delays. Moreover, we were never provided with water throughout the entire meal. Even the most basic establishments usually offer table service for water, so this was a surprising oversight. Our server, Luffy, informed us that we were not in her section and that she was simply taking someone else's table. While we understand that server assignments can change, this information was unnecessary and left us feeling unwelcome. The drink wait was also excessively long, prompting me to go to the bar and retrieve my drink. To my dismay, the bartender named Richie, made derogatory comments about my accent, which made me extremely uncomfortable. As a student and an immigrant, I have been working hard to adapt to the new culture, and such behavior only serves to alienate individuals like me further. I eventually spoke with the manager about these issues, but her first question was about my country of origin. It is disheartening to be subjected to such rude questions, as I came to your restaurant to enjoy a pleasant dinner and spend my hard-earned money. I did not expect perfection, as I work in the restaurant industry myself and understand that mishaps can occur. However, the xenophobic attitudes displayed by your staff, including the manager, were deeply hurtful. While the manager initially offered a $10 discount and an additional $10 after our conversation, I want to emphasize that our intention was not to seek monetary compensation. We simply desired a pleasant dining experience, which unfortunately was not the case due to the prolonged wait and unwelcoming treatment we received. To summarize, I left your restaurant feeling devastated and upset by the whole ordeal. I did not even want to touch the food I paid for when it arrived. It is disheartening to encounter such xenophobic attitudes in a supposedly inclusive and welcoming environment. I sincerely hope the management team take this feedback constructively and address these issues with your staff to prevent similar experiences. Please take the necessary steps to ensure a more welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all...
Read moreToday’s service and this is purely from my interaction with the bartender has left a bad taste in my mouth. I come here every so often, had a few minor mishaps that were quickly taken care of… nothing worth going in details about, because the issues were remedied. Normally great all around outside of that. Last time I was at Ted’s, well I was waiting for my take out, and decided to have a cocktail as a waited, bar services was wonderful, and inviting, I even laughed it up with a few patrons that were enjoying cocktails themselves. I wind up buying the restaurant’s brand of wine, because the glass I had was that good. Myself that night along with the bartender on that night had great conversation about their brand of wine, I was instantly sold, so they sold me a bottle. Wish I had purchased more than one bottle, otherwise I would not have been faced with leaving this type of review. From the moment I walked in, I could see or that my presence alarmed or disturbed the bartender that was in the middle of doing something else. But hey, that’s what it is to be a bartender, people walk in constantly, so of course the potential to get interrupted are greater. He looked at me non warm, without a smile, and kind of frigid, now I want you to know I have been served by this bartender in the past before, and he has never made me feel this way as I did today. I ignored it, and smiled anyway, excited about my request to purchase, which would mean an expedited encounter. I asked for the wine I was searching for, explained my previous purchase, he retorted what he did have, and that I could just go to Wegans, so I repeated what he suggested, because naturally I was taken aback. Now listen, I know I had the option to go to Wegman’s, that is like a generic style. but (sidebar) I chose this restaurant. So anyways, he brought out a Blanc, and Chard, I asked if I could taste both, he repeated both, I said yes, since you don’t have the restaurant brand. He said it went out of business. So anyway, he reluctantly got two wine glasses, and I tasted both and made my selection, made the purchase, and left with a sour experience. I’m pretty sure they don’t need my money or my time, but what a helluva way to treat a returning customer, or was it just me? I won’t go there. Anywho, not cool. I truly wish I had not purchased, so I wouldn’t have wasted a tip on a horrible experience. This is based purely on my today experience purchase at the bar, nothing more...
