Your average donut shop, but they definitely scammed me. I looked at their menu and decided $14 for 12 donuts isnt a bad deal. I picked out 10 donuts, the gentleman working mistakenly picked two out for me. They're all donuts, so whatever. He rings me out and charges me $20 for the donuts and I asked politely "What about the $14 for 12?" He let me know that not all of the donuts I got applied to that. I didnt argue and just paid the man, but in hindsight I should have refused to pay the extra $6. I didnt get anything special and the sign says that it includes all donuts, cakes, and muffins. I didnt get any danishes or specialty stuff with the exception of a single peanutbutter and chocolate donut. Unless that particular donut sells for $6, he could have just as easily charged me for just that one, and given me another donut and it would have been cheaper. I've been to donut places that have given me free donuts on top of what I've purchased, so for me, getting overcharged by 50% for one donut is pretty irritating. Honestly I should have just stuck to getting two or three donuts, or maybe one of their other breakfast items.
Don't bother with the peanutbutter one, it wasnt even good. Just glad I had something to wash...
Read moreThis business is on my highly highly recommended places to grab breakfast or lunch in OC. GREAT food And its run by the nicest people!!! The owner greeted us with smiles and went out of his way for us the whole time we were there. We didn't realize we came at almost closing time, but they invited us to stay as long as we wanted, brought us extra plates, napkins, and talked with us about family and just gave the nicest vibe all the way around. We ordered the Turkey 'melt' but we asked for it cold, which they gladly obliged. The sandwich came out on lightly grilled bread with super crisp and fresh lettuce, tomato and avocado, a generous amount of good quality deli turkey and a perfect light amount of mayo. The donuts were not your run of the mill, corner donut-store donuts. They were fabulous! The cake donut with a little icing (which is not what I usually like but my granddaughter picked it,) and was probably one of THE BEST donuts I've ever tasted. Seriously. No body makes donuts like this. Their menu has a a large selection of breakfast items which looked amazing. Their donuts are big, fresh, and full of flavor. Absolutely made with love. Try this...
Read moreI wanna cry. It's a donut shop, so the donuts are fine. However, it's been a few years since I got a chorizo breakfast burrito. Back then they made their chorizo in house. Absolutely delicious! I bragged about it to friends, neighbors, and Co- workers. People from all three of those groups came back to me to confirm that their breakfast burritos were delicious. I said however, didn't I? A few days ago, I had the opportunity to get a breakfast burrito. Chorizo, of course. Didn't see chorizo or any color til the last few bites. The whole thing was bland and heavy for the wrong reasons. Today, I thought, I'll give it another try cause it was an "off" day when I was here last. A lot more chorizo this time round. Or color, I should say. Bland and heavy for the wrong reasons. New ownership. Gone are the days of "in house made" chorizo. Whatever brand chorizo being used doesn't do it for me. There isn't a lot of flavor. Come for the coffee and the donuts. Don't come looking for anything special by way of their burritos. Dang, that was...
