Called to place a pickup order around 6pm on my way home from work - must have been a busy time as the phone was engaged for the first few attempts. When the phone finally rang, it took a while to be answered. The lady who finally picked up stated after I asked to place an order that the restaurant was closed - a full 2 hours early. My trip home took me by the restaurant, and with quick drive by confirmed that the restaurant was not closed and actively taking orders. I went inside to attempt another order for food - the lady, flustered, was telling people in line that all orders would be 35 to 45 mins and was complaining to the guest ahead of me about how busy it was. It was apparent that they were swamped with a large phone order. After being refused margaritas and queso as I requested them, I presume because there was prep time involved, I opted to leave...frustrated.
The food here is great for the couple times I've had it, however this evening was ridiculous. Would have been happy to wait had my order been accepted the first time I attempted...
Read moreIf you’re looking for authentic Mexican food that’s fresh, delicious, and affordable, you have to check out El Grande Burrito! I’ve driven past this little hole-in-the-wall spot in a shopping center on my way to work so many times, and one day, I finally decided to stop—and I fell in love with their food.
Everything is made fresh, from the salsas, which range from mild to extra spicy. They even have a little bar in the corner so they sell micheladas or a margaritas. Their menu is super wide with so many options, but what really stands out is how affordable it is. I got a full dish and coffee for just $12—which is a steal compared to other places!
Service was fast and friendly, and the person taking my order was incredibly nice. Plus, if you love supporting local businesses, this is a great one to get behind. They even have daily specials—like Torta Mondays with an agua fresca special!
If you’re craving real Mexican food at a great price, do yourself a favor and check out El Grande Burrito. You...
Read moreThe coffee was self-serve & hot. A big plus. Then the food came, what a disappointment; when I confused both the cook & the lady taking my order by asking they tweak something for me I knew to hold my breath for the food. Thank goodness they serve potatoes with breakfast as a true Mexican restaurant should, but they lacked seasoning. The beans were good. I ordered over medium eggs, they were hard fried. The ranchero sauce on the eggs was good but no spicey heat whatsoever. The vegetable omelette was dry & the chorizo just ok. I dislike not giving a Mom & Pop restaurant at least 4-stars, but how do you screw up Mexican b-fast? I'll be back almost restaurant deserves...
