A deeply disappointing and disrespectful experience. Unacceptable behavior, especially towards women
I had an extremely unpleasant experience during a lunch dine-in at this restaurant. The person who served me (who appeared to be the owner) was noticeably impatient and dismissive while I was politely confirming my entrée selections, something any customer has the right to do without being rushed or made to feel like a burden.
What stood out even more was his condescending attitude during payment. He attempted to run my credit card multiple times but failed due to clear user error with his own credit card reader. Instead of calmly resolving it, he loudly announced while I was still at my table, that my card had been declined multiple times, implying it was an issue with me rather than his own machine. I calmly explained that my card was active, yet he insisted on proving otherwise. When I approached the counter and selected the correct options on the machine myself, the transaction went through immediately proving the problem was not my card.
When I attempted to give polite feedback about this experience, his reaction was completely unprofessional. He raised his voice, dismissed my concerns, and publicly embarrassed me in front of other customers present there at that time. His tone and attitude felt particularly aggressive and belittling. It wasn't just bad service, it felt like I was being silenced and humiliated.
Service should never come at the cost of basic dignity. I left feeling shaken and degraded. I will not return, and I hope no one else has to go through what I experienced, especially women...
Read moreLet's be honest, and try not to repeat some of the similar less than perfect reviews. The food was ok at best, but not horrible. Appetizer named "cream cheese crab" okay but is their a Thai food similar to this? What is it called? The sauce with it was good, but the server had no idea what it was and had to go ask the cook. The pineapple fried rice had only three pieces of canned pineapple. To me - that is a huge fail and a great opportunity if they revisit their recipie. I like spicy food, but not breathing fire. I ordered the Pad Thai and the server told me to pick 1 through 4, 4 being the spiciest. I ate the whole thing with out even breaking a sweat. So disappointing. Also it was like eating noodles drenched in a mild Chile sauce. We offered our complaint to the server and the cook or owner or manager came out in sweat pants and a t-shirt. We just trying to say we were a little disappointed. We just moved here from Indianapolis. There is also a suburb of Indy called Avon, and it is the home of our favorite Thai restaurant called Thai Lanna. It is not perfect but this place should check it out if they are ever in the area. I gave two stars instead of one because even though we were disappointed, it was alright. Sorry for the...
Read moreWe used to love this restaurant but over the years the quality of the food has declined. Our dinner during a weeknight was absolutely awful. I could say that the best thing we had there for dinner was the water. The Tom yum goong soup was just very sweet, absolutely no other flavor could be found in it. It was just a sweet broth with shrimp, mushrooms and tomatoes. We had to tell the server that it did not taste like it usually does and he brought it back with some sour flavor added to it. It was still bad. The pad kee mow with beef was worse. Very small serving to begin with. The beef was tough and smelly like it was very stale. Just the first spoonful and both my husband and I could not get ourselves to eat anymore. We then ordered the spicy basil fried rice with tofu (even though we love meat we did not want to take anymore chances so stayed with tofu). It was again sweet with just onions and hints of bell pepper- No other vegetables. We were so disappointed with the whole experience. Will not go back to this...
