I normally get a frosty here then and there. I grew up with different Wendyâs at my town - one I even used to work at - but this place is nothing like it.
GV students should be warned that the night time staff are randomly rude and inconsiderate towards their guests. I go on late-night bike rides, and there was no lobby closed sign on the door. As another worker was taking my order, I was suddenly confronted to leave by another staff member, who was very direct (to the point of coming off as a little aggressive and pushy). I havenât even said anything yet, and her sudden confrontation left me a little confused. I then apologized and asked if I could go through the drive thru on my bike, and they denied me service for âsafetyâ even though I have been able to bike to my hometownâs Wendyâs and be served after hours in their drive through with no issue. I donât own a car, and I didnât even know of any type of policy when I worked at my Wendyâs. I wasnât able to have wendyâs that night, even though I believe they couldâve easily served me if they wanted imo. I have no hard feelings, but this was my very first negative encounter with a restaurant worker, and it left me very confused on whether it was me that did something wrong or if they were busy/overworked that day.
After reading the reviews, Iâm sure it wasnât me and itâs more on the staff. Also, my friends have had similar negative experiences. Itâs clear this establishment may be ruining Wendyâs reputation, and itâs disappointing to see that having worked at Wendyâs before at a different place. My friends said that itâs this place in particular that gets the bad rep around campus, and I can see why. I sincerely hope it gets...
   Read moreCame in 15 minutes before close, food was absolutely cold and miserable even though we asked for it to be fresh. Asked for no tomato on one, extra tomato. Asked for a num 1 triple, they threw 3 pieces of cheese on the top (again very cold) burger patty. Fries were cold. Came back around for warm fries and was told âthe friers were shut off 30 minutes ago and this is what we had.â No salt, not even a full container. Gave me a Diet Coke when I asked for a reg coke. Asked for a refund on the fries, manager came through the window and slapped the money into my girlfriendâs hand without a word or apology for anything. Not to mention they shut the drive through speakers off 10 minutes before close. Iâve worked fast food, I get it I would wanna go home too. We were polite, please and thank yous all around. When we came back through they saw us behind the last car they intended to serve, and then proceeded to leave us at the window for 5 minutes. Absolutely unacceptable behavior and work ethic, Meritage should be absolutely ashamed with their choice of manager here. Iâd give zero...

I have used food apps for other fast food restaurants in the area and never had to wait more than a minute, since they already knew in advance that my food had been ordered and fully paid for.
I placed my order online and when I got there, I was informed at the window that they were out of chocolate Frosties. I accepted the substitution of the triple berry shakes. However, they were not good. The strawberry shakes at Burger King are much better. I recommend those if you like berry flavors.
I was given the beverages and had to wait an additional 12 minutes for the rest of the food. At that time, I saw four other cars go through the drive-thru area with complete orders. And yet I was still waiting.
My main issue is the fact that they knew before I got there that I had placed an order. I had to wait 30 minutes from start to finish so why bother using the app to order? Iâll never do that again.
From the other reviews Iâve seen, this is a common issue with this particular restaurant. I guess I should have read those reviews before I tried...
