Rough food experience but the service was good. I came here for lunch on a Sunday. It wasn't crowded and only about 40% full. We were greeted and seated right away. My family and I ordered the nachos appetizer, a flatbread appetizer special, a grilled cheese, and a reuben sandwich. The appetizers were very good. However the grilled cheese came out lukewarm, the cheese wasn't melted and the bread looked dry and only light toasted. I expect grilled cheeses to usually be buttered and grilled to a golden brown on both sides with fully melted cheese in the middle. My reuben had corned beef and pastrami in it. However I took one bite and noticed the corned beef slices were partly brown and not all pink. That's NOT what corned beef is supposed to look like. I mentioned both these things to the waiter and he promptly took them away. The manager came over and apologized for the brown corned beef and asked if I'd like a replacement. I ordered their 1935 steak sandwich instead of another reuben. The replacement grilled cheese was better but still not very good. We just dealt with it. The replacement steak sandwich was very good. In the end some of the food was good but some of it was poor. But the service was courteous and they honestly tried to fix things. I am not a demanding customer and almost never send food back unless it's really necessary. That said I was quietly hoping they would've maybe comped the drinks or maybe even a sandwich as a courtesy, but they didn't and we were charged full price for everything. I would never ask for a discount or a comp but it would have been nice considering their mistakes. Oh well. I wouldn't be opposed to returning there for another meal to give them a second chance but I won't be rushing...

The food is good but the service was horrible! I was totally ignored after served my food and I felt they focused solely on tables with large parties dining.

The upstairs area in the bar area is too dark and the atmosphere felt intense stress from the waiters rushing around as well as listening to some complain about overload in covering for another waiter.

They couldn't even bag my left overs and basically handed me the containers to pack my own food. I only had this young waiter came to take my empty tea cup from me.

The waitress gives me the bill and never comes back. I waited 15 minutes for her to come back but she just stood there at the bar looking in a daze. I motion to her only to notice she fail to acknowledge me wanting to pay my check.

One of managers came over to my table only to ask could he take the chair from my table to set up for a large party group. Totally ignore the fact I was sitting waiting for my bill to be given to me.

Her coworker came over to take my check to pay for my meal. I waited like another 10 minutes for my card to be brought back to me along with signing off on the bill.

By this time, my cab was outside waiting for me. I finally received my bill to sign off and left. There was no goodbye by the wait staff upstairs who waited on me. This was my first and my last time God willing eating...

I’m not from the area, I’m from Florida. I originally went here for a couple beers but ended up taking home some seafood bisque to go. I don’t know if I was just unlucky and didn’t get any real chunks of meat in the bisque, or if that’s just the way it’s supposed to be (hence the 3 stars for food). But I sat at the upstairs bar tonight and the bartender was awesome. I was complaining about the heat and humidity in the part of FL that I reside and how it’s messing up my dryer…and I kid you not…the bartender has a friend in my town and gave me a personal referral to help fix that problem. So the bartender tonight not only gave me great beer recommendations and service, but also helped me navigate fixing my dryer issue…across the country. I’m willing to give the seafood bisque another chance based on that alone.

Update: the LAST bite of my bisque had a decent chunk of meat in it, so I’m leaning towards the possibility that I may have been unlucky with the batch I received. Though disappointing, it is what it is. Service was still bomb though.
