East Siders Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Allentown

Okay so I’ve been a REGULAR to this establishment for YEARS & I always seen the changes throughout the years. New owners, new management , new employees. Let me just say this first I MISS THE OLD EASTSIDERS, THE OLD OWNER, THE OLD STAFF. I finally returned back to Eastsiders after over 2 years not being there & let me just say this place is TERRIBLE & it STINKS very bad, obviously you can tell they have a bad plumbing problem. The food was good the vibes were there when the DJ pulled up. New staff not on point always have an attitude beside 2 people, which was the bartender I can’t remember her name I think it was Sham & the dark skinned server I didn’t get the chance to get her name but anywho, the new “Management” is poor, i don’t know if she was a manager or not some tall girl but she walked around with horrible facial expression like it wasn’t very welcoming to me & my girls. Me personally after not being there for over 2 years I can see why this establishment place never attracted me back over there. Crazy how this place went from being packed out everyday to it being the way it is now. Food was good, drinks are still strong. I just wouldn’t come back as a loyal paying customer how i used to be. Me and a friend of mines went to this bar back around November 2024. Second time we have been there, and the second will be the last. Ordered an Old Fashioned. The bartender instead of telling me she didn't have all the ingredients made the drink anyways. When I said something about the taste, she then decided to tell me that she was missing simple syrup. My boy ordered a beer in a glass, and he said it was warm. Thinking things would change, we ordered some food, just 2 orders of wings-one garlic parm, the other hot honey. They BOTH tasted the exact same!!! Hot wings weren't even hot at all!!! Bartender not once asked us how everything was, just made it a point to go and sit down with the cook at the other end of the bar because it was slow at that point. The food is likely the best feature about this bar. The appetizers were very tasty and I'd be interested in coming back for other food. Everything is very fairly priced, almost equivalent to diner prices. However, the hookah was definitely sub-par as everything tasted of menthol.

Because my friends and I wanted to go to a place that served hookah and alcohol, and this being the only place that offered it, it was a letdown to have everything else meet our standards except the hookah. -1 star for the quality of the hookah, and -1 star for the hookah also not being the flavor we requested initially.

In summary: the waitress, bartender, doorman, and host were all professional and polite. Food is great. Prices are acceptable. Venue is strange. Hookah is less...
