Chris I've come to your establishment for more than 10 years with my husband and kids. Last night I needed to dine alone and it was very well needed, the food was great as always but the service was not what I was used to. I've come more for dinner and had the servers Kim, Marie, Cameron and a few other and Saturday mornings we've always got sat with Gina which was great. Lastnight I had a tall, extremely skinny waitress. I asked for Marie when she sat me and she rolled her eyes and said she didn't show up. One I thought that was incredibly unprofessional, she could have simply stated she just wasn't there and the attitude was as boastful as it got. She ended up being my server and was my server a handful of times. She has always been cocky, distasteful, rude and ignorant. She didn't smile at me not once she was in a rush and still managed to screw up my food even though I specifically asked twice for exactly what I wanted. This time was the worst experience with her I've ever had. When I told her my food was wrong she told me it wasn't and she doesn't make mistakes. I told her I thi k you did and I would like it remade to how I ordered it. I wasn't the only table she made a mistake on. I thought I'd bring it to your attention because normally I've had nothing g but smooth sailing very efficient service. I understand mistakes are made and people have a bad night. But she always makes a mistake with ourorder and then has an attitude on top of it. I am sorry but we will not be back into your establishment. I gave it too many chances and it centralized around the one distasteful server. I've never had a problem in 10 years, and there has been mistakes, but it is about the way it is handled that succumbs my satisfaction. I was a Manager of a restaurant for 15 years starting in my 20s before I got my doctorate. SO I understand customer service well and I also understand that things happen. But you cannot tell me that that was all right the way I was yelled back at. I wish your establishment luck and many more years to come, but she set a bad...

Now, I completely understand there is a shortage of staff but our experience here was just bad. There were only 2 waitresses (which one was also handling a party in a separate room). I ordered liver and my husband order a club sandwich on white toast (he got wheat). They made his food but never told the waitress they were out of liver. I then chose scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes and dry English muffin. I got two dippy eggs also with toast (with butter) and my English muffin. She took the eggs back then brought me scrambled eggs but now with scrambled (yuk, hate scrapple). I finally got what I ordered a few minutes after my husband got his food. Oh, and the one waitress was clearly distraught and was crying. As I was paying my bill (I did still leave my normal tip and was very cordial through all of this), I heard the young female cashier tell the couple ahead of me that it is hard to predict if it will be busy so they only had two on tonight. Hmmm, it was a Saturday night and only two wait staff??? Where was the owner or manager? Not the best...

I mean if you get there early in the morning on a Sunday it's one of the best experiences I've had in a long time food was out quick unfortunately there's only one waitress but then again before 7:30 you've only got one or two other patrons so you get a lot of attention, if you get there after 9:00 you got to contend with a full restaurant and even though they've got five or six waitresses it's so full with the after church crowd that the kitchen is slow and it really isn't as good as an experience but don't use my review to steal my 7:00 seating time in there. They always have good specials this week I had the chicken fried steak which was so tender I didn't even need a knife definitely always a pleasure to see what their special is and I can't recommend the fresh squeezed orange juice enough definitely while they may not be a Michelin star restaurant they're definitely a Hallmark of Bethlehem and no matter how cold it gets I'll always get down there to...

The Borderline was originally a Perkins but has been recast as a family run restaurant that offers up generous portions of home-style meals at a great price. One of my favorites places to go for breakfast in the Lehigh Valley.  My go-to is the Greek Omelet (add tomatoes), home fries, and rye toast.  They have added a group of new items to the menu such as the Grecian Quesadilla – Gyro meat, feta, tomato, and eggs inside a pressed pita.  They offer a variety of pancakes- chocolate chip, blueberry, banana walnut – that are hot off the grill and delicious. There is a bakery case that has pies, cakes, and cookies to eat in the restaurant or to go. They have a spacious dining room and a small counter for seating.  Place is usually very busy on Sunday mornings.  Fast and friendly service from the wait staff and hosts.

First impression, it is your typical American restaurant. No Frills but clean environment. The menu is nothing elaborate typical food. Our waitress was a little on the rude side but nothing too spot on to really mention. More of a mannerism attitude. She did not understand the menu very well. When I ordered my food which was chicken cordon bleu there was some kind of a cheese sauce on it which tasted like powder mixed with water. The salad bar was clean but nothing elaborate. It was also very small. The crab bisque soup had fake crab meat in it but it tasted good. On the front counter there was muffins and chocolate chip cookies sitting out not covered. I would not go back here again.

Update: stopped in again and had the Reese's peanut butter french toast. Very sweet but as always, yummy! Never had a bad experience. We have eaten here about 20 times over the past few years. It is out of the way from where we live but sometime just want a good quality breakfast so we travel past 8-10 breakfast restaurants to get here. The people are so nice. The portions are good. The prices are fair. And the food is so good. It doesn’t taste like dirty grill, It’s not drenched in grease. It’s really really good.
