Mahoney's Irish Pub — Restaurant in Allentown

Awful experience. This place is extremely unprofessional. I think I should have paid attention to all the red flags. Upon entering you were most likely to trip and fall. There was a trip hazard upon entering and exiting. The height from the top of concrete to the top of the threshold was a good amount. When opening the door you have to be careful to step up to avoid tripping. To make matters worst I couldn’t understand where the bar was even located. It’s an extremely sketchy place. Long story short, I needed a place to unwind after a long night. After paying the bill I went to use the bathroom and a customer made a rude comment. I spoke to the bartender about one of her guests being rude and disrespectful to me. The bartender rubbed it off and said “so what it’s not a big deal.” Not a big deal? Hospitality is clearly not a priority for these folks. This was on a Saturday around 10:30 ish. Afterwards she proceeded to drink beer in front of her guests. Why are you drinking beer on the job? When asked to give me back my tip she refused. I will be reporting this to business bureau and contact my bank regarding her refusal. I don’t have time to waste with such a horrible business. Don't be fooled by the Irish Pub's name! Mahoney's has a large selection of food items on its menu. Additionally, they provide daily culinary deals. Ordered the fried zucchini and a sandwich. Was good, the downside of this place is the smoke. It honestly was burning my eyes, and you can smell it from the moment you walk in. The bathroom of this place is super small. The waitress was friendly but took a while to refill our water and there was only 3 people at the bar plus us at a table.
