Just wanted to share my experience with everyone.
So for some added context before I get into this review, I would like to say the customer service was excellent, they were friendly like always, however I'm not sure if if they put in the wrong order the past few times i have come here within a month, or maybe the cooks have a hard time understanding what âthinâ and âhand tossedâ means.
Also, I would like to say that I donât mean any disrespect towards the business or those involved with my order, however the past few times i have come here I ordered 10 inch pies with just cheese other than the first one which was just pepperoni.
I worked at a pizza joint myself for quite some time in the past so i understand how things go for the most part when it comes understanding how things operate.
The situation - First time, was correct other than they put the pepperoni on before the cheese which I find a bit odd, but maybe thats their style here, so I didnât think much about it.
2nd time I ordered a hand tossed cheese and got a thin crust cheese instead. Okay, well mistakes happen, right? Itâs all good!
3rd time, (today) - I ordered a 10 inch thin crust cheese and got a hand tossed cheese insteadâŚ
It doesnât matter to me, honestly, but many others out there really care about thin and hand tossed pies, and will definitely be upset if the employees here donât understand the difference between the two.
Customer service: 4 out of 5
Food handling / care: 3 out of 5 (tastes good, but wrong order)
Atmosphere: 3 out of 5 (family friendly, but employees talk a lot rather than finding extra work to do) - EX - talking behind the bar about tiktok rather than cleaning tables or other tasks.
Overall, its a good joint and I do love the food, but I hope the business will take this review into consideration about how they train their employees on what a thin and hand tossed means.
I hope everyone has a wonderful rest of...
Read moreDuring my recent visit to Gallagherâs Pizza in Green Bay, WI, I ventured into their lunch buffet, an option that many locals seem to enjoy. Here's my take on it, rated at a solid 3 out of 5 stars.
Upon entry, we were immediately asked if we were there for the buffet. In hindsight, we should've inquired about the full menu, but we went ahead with the buffet. This was a learning moment for us - always ask for options!
The buffet was "ok" â it served its purpose of filling us up, but it didn't leave a lasting impression. While the food was satisfactory, it lacked a certain special touch that would compel me to return specifically for the buffet or recommend it to visitors.
On the brighter side, the pricing was very reasonable, and the service was commendable. The servers were kind and attentive, ensuring a comfortable dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the highlight - the oatmeal cookies. These delightful treats were a standout, absolutely delicious, and were the one item we found ourselves going back for, again and again. They certainly deserve a special mention.
The salad bar, while fresh, could do with a bit more variety in terms of fixings and toppings. It was well-stocked with the basics, but a few more options would elevate it significantly.
Overall, Gallagherâs Pizza seems like a place with potential, especially given its popularity among locals. If they could enhance the quality and flavor profile of their buffet offerings, it would definitely bump up the overall experience. For now, it's a decent option for a quick, no-frills meal, especially if you're in the mood for some excellent...
Read moreNot sure what our luck is, but it seems whenever we order to go from Gallagherâs thereâs always a mistake. We havenât ordered in a while due to this, but decided to give them another shot tonight.
Ordered two pizzas. One was good, the Mac n cheese not so much. My wife wanted bacon on it, we were charged for it, but it wasnât on the pizza. Per my wife she also said the pizza tasted too salty. When Iâve called in the past about mistakes on orders I was usually met with a response akin to âsorry we messed up, but oh well what do you want us to do about it?â sentiment. I get that a topping thatâs missed which charges for $1.50-$3.00, from the business end, feels like they shouldnât have to replace a whole pizza. From the customer side of things though, the service isnât whole or complete.
Another thing that struck me very odd tonight. Ordered online and paid online, and on the online checkout I didnât leave a tip since this is a pickup to-go order. I was handed another pair of receipts at the restaurant with a tip line and a pen to sign it. Not sure if this is standard protocol for them, but it felt like having to do this twice for no other reason than the staff asking for a tip on a to-go order. I already received an emailed receipt for paying online so that seemed to reinforce the intent on the person handing out the to go order. It came...
