Horrible, horrible service. I used to love Plias Kitchen when first started. They used to be very nice and the service was great. Now every time I call, they are very rude and crabby. Normally I do not do this type of reviews, I hate doing it, but there have been several times that they have been rude with me and I feel that I don’t deserve that. I always tip them no matter what and I do 20% or more because I know is the minimum and because I love the food. I have worked most of my life in customer service, from waitress, bartender, food runner, hostess, sales etc. and I know when it is a good service or when it is not. The service they provide is not pleasant. I do not know if it is only me with whom they behave like that or it is with all the customers, but please change your attitude towards your customers that support local business like me because little by little they will go away no matter that the food is good. The other day I called to place an order an the gal who answered the phone hang up on me. Also the other day called 30 minutes before they close and they refused to take my order. This is just a little of the bad service they have given me, I can continue, but that's not the point. I just want to tell you to please be more kind to your customers because you depend on clients like me. And I know I'm not the only one who likes to be treated...
Read moreDoes not answer their phone. This occurs repeatedly, every time we call. They don't have a queue, any type of capacity to take multiple orders at once, voicemail, or a hold system - if they have "too many" orders, they just stop taking them. So unless you intend to go in and order at the counter, it's not worth ordering. At this point I don't think I'll order from them again as it's just incredibly frustrating to gather up what a group wants to order, spend 30 minutes calling repeatedly to just have to give up and start over.
Every other restaurant on earth has figured this out. Even before voicemail existed, decades ago you put a little line of tickets up in the kitchen, and you estimated the wait time from how many you had. It's not hard. And it's weird that so many people give them a pass - there are a ton of other places to get curry, pho and pad thai from who also operate like a normal restaurant that knows how a...
Read moreI liked everything about my experience with Plia's Kitchen. The guy taking my order over the phone was friendly and answered my questions. I tried the chicken fried rice and also some egg rolls. The egg rolls are a steal for only a dollar each. I wish I would have ordered 10 more. They were crispy, full of flavor, and both sauces provided a unique and enjoyable experience. The fried rice was cooked to perfection. The portion was generous enough that I had some the following day for lunch, and it was just as good as the night before. I can certainly see why this place is a local favorite and will get it again the next time that...
