Update: As I enjoy my blueberry concrete and 3 scoops of chocolate custard, I’m happy to report that my concerns were taken seriously. I spoke with the regional manager, who was very professional and open to my feedback. Today, I returned during rainy weather and no one was outside taking orders. A team member confirmed that when it’s raining, staff stays inside.
It’s clear that Andy’s cares and listens when a valid concern is brought forward. Thank you for prioritizing your employees’ safety and showing real leadership. That kind of response deserves recognition.
Frequent customer all year round, love Andy’s custard, and have no issue with my order being taken outside. However, I have a problem when it’s pouring down rain and we’re under a severe thunderstorm watch.
Went to Andy’s - Alpharetta location during a thunderstorm watch — heavy rain, lightning, and thunder. An employee is outside taking orders, trying to hold an umbrella and a tablet to take orders, while I’m getting wet giving my order when there’s a cover at the window to protect employee and customer.
I was told by the manager it’s mandatory, if the owner sees on camera no one outside they will get in trouble.
This is outrageous. The manager on duty should have the authority to make a wise decision to not have staff outside during severe weather. Forcing staff to work in dangerous weather is reckless and inhumane. Shame on the owner. Alpharetta...

For starters we went there because it was new and someone told us the frozen Custard was worth trying. When we showed up we found 2 windows which said closed and will open tomorrow at 11am. We knocked on the only window without the sign in cold, rain. But no response for a minute and no heads to be seen, and so went back to our car. As we walked back to our car, there was Nobody in the drive through lane for a visible distance either. As we were got into our car, a Floridian senior pulled in and knocked on the window and Open Sesame a few minutes later! So, we went back and pointed out the signs to the 2 young gentleman who were working. They flipped the signs to say the window is closed, no apologies, and asked what we wanted! So out of pure Holiday spirit, and having gotten there, we ordered a large Triple chocolate Custard, got it and left. Now frankly, it just tasted like icecream and nothing that great. Also, it was very pricey about $7.50. Frankly the Frozen icecream and frozen yogurt at Jeni's in the Avalon mall and/or Bruster's very close by taste soooo good and very reasonablu priced for their pleasant, on the toes customer service.
So why even bother going to this place, if taste is okay and service is pathetic? Absolutely, not worth the value for money at all. Go to Bruster's or to Jenny's and you...

About a month ago I spoke to the owner of the franchise, Tom, and expressed my concerns about poor customer service at the Alpharetta location. Tom was very understanding and made sure my concerns were heard with the utmost respect. He also assured that tangible changes were made to improve customer service and customer relations with both the managers and the team.
I can confidently say that after a month now the team has shown a positive shift in attitude with greeting customers with respect and enthusiasm! My family and I are so happy to return to our favorite spot in Alpharetta, and even better, being served with amazing customer service.
And of course this is the BEST frozen custard in town, you cannot go wrong with any of their menu items! Previous review: "As someone who’s been a customer since opening day, I’ve really grown to love the product. I commute an hour just to visit this place in Alpharetta BUT there’s a serious attitude problem and it’s becoming excessive. Despite getting my order wrong countless times, the attitude and utter disrespect from these teenage employees is getting incredibly annoying. I mean coming from someone close to their age and working in retail, y’all are ridiculous....Only giving two stars bc I actually like...
