I wish I could give them 5 stars. I have been a big fan of Zyka for the last 14 years. I have travelled 55 minutes one way to pickup food or dine in for long time once every other week. Decatur location is my number one favorite in Indian/Pakistani food. I have been following the local news since they bought the land in Alpharetta in 2016. I even found the contact to the owner and called him a few times to get updates when they would open in Alpharetta. It took them 4 years to open this location. I was patient enough and became their one of the first customer when they opened their door in fall 2020. First, they did not have the behari for a while saying that they could not source the right meat for the dish from their suppliers. Within my first 4 visits, I noticed that they did not sustain the same food quality as Decatur location but I kept trying because I was hoping that they would get there soon. I have probably visited them 6 times so far and every one of them was disappointing. The food does not taste like Decatur location. Some of them are close some of them are not even a match in taste. I picked up behari today at lunch time and they were not busy at all, which led me think that I would be getting something good since they are not in rush. It was uncooked, with a lot of vein. The meat was tender and soft but hard to chew because of the vein amount. I could not eat half of it and it looked reddish instead of what you get at Decatur was closed to black color and still juicy and tender. In my previous visits, mutton biryani did not have goat meat inside the rice in my two different visits. It was so disappointing because they are not open for dine in and you open your box when you get home. You cant go bac to store at that moment and complain because it's already dinner time. I had to eat rice and two quarter sized goat meat that were lost inside the rice. I expected that the owners provide the same quality food here but it has been a disappointment for all of my visits to this location. As a big fan of Zyka, I'll be going to the Decatur location for a long time until I see good reviews about this location in the future. I was going to give one star but Nehari, nan and chicken 65 tastes about the same as Decatur location so they get 2 stars for...
Read moreI would like to give 1 star to Zyka Alpharetta because they issued me refund without any single argument. Hopefully, I will get refund soon.
I would say Big NO NO NO for this place.
First of all, Zyka should clearly understand that now they are in Alpharetta location which is not same as Decatur. Alpharetta is completely different ball game compare to Decatur.
Selling CHEAP food and delivering WORST food quality in Alpharetta location will not long last. You guys really needs to change your business strategy at Alpharetta location. In last 13 years, I saw many Indian restaurant opened and closed here in surrounding areas of old milton parkway and I believe most of them all due to their worst quality of food. Based on your location, seems you guys might targeting Georgia state students by selling cheap food thinking students can afford. How about quality? I never visited Zyka Decatur and this was my first visit in Zyka Alpharetta.
Apart from Georgia state students, there are huge Indian communities also present in Alpharetta employed in big IT companies. Also, there are big players(all time popular) in market like Madras Chettinad, Sankranthi Restaurant, Tadka, Bamboo Garden, Masti, Yellow Chilli etc. and few small players. Spice hut Indian grocery store also selling Indian food with similar price tag you are selling, but I doubt if they are successful in Indian food business due to their food quality.
My point here is, You guys already have tough competition in Alpharetta and you are trying to control market by selling CHEAP food with WORST quality. Price should not be only the factor but quality as well. You can get more customer repeat if you are delivering good quality food. Also you should employ some Indian chef who knows how to cook Indian authentic food. I saw only Mexican guys were cooking inside the kitchen and one white guy was managing them. Customer service was also worst. Come on guys you should sell some real Indian food with real...
Read moreWe have been customers of Zyka's Decatur, GA location for the past 23+ years. First time we visited Zyka's Alpharetta location today to pick up the food. The food was not ready even after 1 hour 20 minutes from the ordered time (20 minutes longer than promised pickup time.) Somehow they misplaced the online order, I had to help them to find the order and then they started packing the food. The food quality is almost similar to the Decatur location, but I had a bad experience inside the restaurant. Too many customers were standing near the food pickup counter, NO SOCIAL DISTANCING AT ALL. I was scared to wait inside the crowded area so I came outside till the order was ready. It is not good for their employees and the customers. Very Poor management!
We give 5 Star rating to Zyka's Decatur, GA location for their excellent management in following the social distancing guidelines during this entire Covid-19 pandemic situation. We request Zyka, Alpharetta to take their long term customer's advice seriously and avoid the possibility of spreading Covid-19 to their customers and employees by implementing social distancing.
We will not be coming to your Alpharetta location at least for the next 1 year. We are fine with the additional 10 minutes drive to your Decatur location to safeguard our health!
My food pick up time was 8.11 p.m. Restaurant can contact me using my order email, if they need any other...
