Waffle House — Restaurant in Alpharetta

Everybody in the place was nice, except for my waitress. I ordered the 2 egg breakfast with grits, bacon and raisin toast, but received 2 eggs, raisin toast, and oatmeal. When she sat my plate on the table, she asked "is this what you ordered?" and even though I knew the order was wrong, I didn't want to cause a scene, so I took the food as-is. Seconds later I heard a guy say "ma'am, I ordered the 2 egg breakfast with oatmeal" so I realized I had his food. Then I noticed.. hey.. we haven't even been given drinks. None. Not a water, nothing. Ate the wrong meal, minus the oatmeal, because I don't eat wheat, with no drink. She tried to convince both he and I that she was right and that we "had the same order, and that made it confusing" and would not admit to screwing up the order. I informed her that we did NOT have the same meal, and all I wanted was what I ordered, but it didn't happen. When I got the check, I was being charged for 2 eggs, bacon, raisin toast, and grits, so I asked her if she could alter the check to the total of what we had actually received, because my employee was paying, and the kid doesn't have much money, so I stood up for him. I said "you know, you didn't even give us a drink. Hopefully you learn from this." She picked up a phone and ignored me by looking to the side. As I walked out the door I heard her say "he aint even paying, but he's the one with something to say, psh. I been here since 2014" (congrats), with plenty of sass, absolutely no diligence, and much undesired attitude

Blake and Edwin are the employees tonight. Edwin is overly stressed and anxiety ridden and moving in slow motion, we were here for over an hour. Finished our food before we got our drinks. Edwin is doing his best and is very sweet. Blake is rude and does absoLUTEly nothing to try to help him. AT ALL. Stood there like a robot until he called an order. Would walk off to the back for a while. Sat down at the corner table in the back and completely refuses to acknowledge the customers or try to run food or set anyone up or cash people out. We sat at the bar, Blake cooked our food which was mid quality, also, called him to get it and stood there for like SEVERAL minutes before we asked him if he could hand it to us. He did, without saying anything, and just turned back around and stood there. My friend that I was here with and myself help manage a restaurant with an open line like this. She is the server manager, I I the cook manager. And I have never seen such a lack of effort, it was almost more than just not giving a crap about your job.

Edwin is not quite ready to be by himself.. but he did a great job. Blake is douchebag and it was all we could do to not get up and try to help him, just didn't want to offend or be rude. Tipped Edwin 50% and all of it better for to him. Also the jukebox took 5 of my dollars and didn't play any...

I love this location. Sabrina is my favorite server. She has a great disposition. When Quay is on the grill, you know your food will be right.

However, today Chuck was on eggs and he's messy. As I was asking if Quay could make my eggs another server called for lids and he (Chuck) jumped to get them. No problem there. Chuck returned quickly which did not agree with me because in looked like he hadn't changed his gloves. I pointed this out to Sabrina who promptly asked him to let Quay cook my food.

Chuck caught an attitude and stated time me " If you don't like how I cook you can go to another store". I asked him to repeat it and he did and told me to leave. When I pointed out that he didn't change his gloves before returning to the grill, he stated that he followed protocol and washed his hands and changed his gloves before returning.

HOW??? He was gone for 30 seconds tops... He got the lids, washed his hands with soap dried his hands and put on fresh gloves in 30 seconds ... And the inside of the gloves aren't wet? They went on smooth as butter? In 30 seconds? Mind you he only made one trip to the back. So was that before or after you picked up the lids for the server?

I will continue to go to this location but Chuck can't touch my food.
