Real review here - new to the area and was craving a seafood boil. I went with this place because their prices are better than some of the other area seafood spots. I was nervous because of the bad reviews and the fact that it was almost empty inside (some other reviews mentioned this but more people are doing Door dash orders these days). Still figured I would try for myself and I’m so glad that I did. I found a new spot. My husband had the shrimp poboy (something he’s never had before) and it was delicious! I had my seafood boil, the kids catfish (fried to perfection and tender inside) meal and Cajun wings very flavorful were also very good. The only thing we weren’t a huge fan of were the fries.
As far as service, some people commented on the lady being rude and that was so not the case but the opposite for me. She went above and beyond helping me to decide what to get since it was my first time ordering. What people don’t get is that when you come from an urban culture, your way of communicating may be more direct but it doesn’t mean rude. And I wasn’t bothered by the time because I’d rather you take your time and cook my food right than give me something undercooked (especially seafood). You can’t always have both. This is a great small black owned...
Read moreYou simply must stop here if you're in the area. don't go expecting ambiance, but expect friendly staff/owners and incredible creole food.
Cajun/Creole is my husband and I's favorite kind of food, and this place did not disappoint. We had 5 people, so we had a good array of the menu: shrimp creole, shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, wings with fries, shrimp po'boy and beignets for dessert.
Everything came out freshly prepared, piping hot, and full of flavor! We all sampled each other's food, and all of it was great! The prices are phenomenal for the quality as well. Our only complaint is that this place isn't closer to where we live!
So if you're in Alpharetta and want a great meal and don't mind a no frills place with plastic silverware, bottled water, etc. you should definitely check them out! Do keep in mind that while they don't currently have a kids menu, they were happy to oblige any requests for picky eaters like no Cajun seasoning on items like fried chicken, fried shrimp, wings, or fries so it is definitely compatible with children...
Read moreSo I drove from loganville which was about 22 miles away. And I won't say I'm a good critic like that. But I decided to order the gumbo for 10.95. he told me it included sausage, chicken, and shrimp. I just finished it and I'm still looking for the shrimp, maybe it's injected into the rice? I don't know. So I get it for take out. I get to the car and decide to take a bite before I leave. It's pipping hot and mind you I was only in there a few minutes. Which leads me to believe it was microwaved. I figure I have a long drive anyways so it'll cool down on the way. I get home and the flavors good I just wish they included what I was told would come with it. There was no shrimp. And as got as it was they microwave it and give it to you, why am I paying 10 for them to microwave food that they promise...
