Othels Art Academy — Attraction in Alpharetta

I celebrated my daughter's 6th birthday party at Othel's yesterday. My kids already go to art class there, so I contacted Andrew and Tina about hosting the birthday party there.

From the get go, Andrew and Tina were extremely co-operative in finding a time slot for me that worked for me and my guests. We finally settled for a late afternoon slot, 3-5:30 pm. Yes, the party actually lasts 2:30 hours and the kids love every minute of it.

Tina, the art teacher, took exceptional care of the kids as they worked on their canvas artwork. She was very patient, even with kids who had limited prior experience with artwork and also with those who arrived quite late to the party. She gave each of them her full attention and made sure all of the kids painted. She also scheduled two snack breaks to keep the kids well fed and to keep them from getting bored.

My significant other surprised me by taking me to Othels Art Gallery & School of Art to celebrate our 3rd year Anniversary. Andrew and Christina took our reservation last minute to honor our anniversary in "the name of love". They not only encouraged our creativity, but also made us feel at home. The Simpsons helped us create a work of art that represented our love for one another and made the pieces become united as one. By far, this was one of the cutest & funest date ideas my significant other and I have done together. I highly recommend going to Othels if you want to get a group together and have a fun painting session... But as well, if you are interested in learning how to draw and paint, go to Othels to have ongoing lessons. We were very disappointed with this academy. Art instructor (Tina) was not very kind to my child. I called to smooth things over with Tina hoping that we can work together. I was met with lots of yelling and her talking over me. I was then told that I will be charged for 8 weeks of sessions when we attended only 2 weeks. They refused to refund me. Finally, I was told that I will not be charged for the 2nd month when I clearly left a message that we weren’t going to continue. Othels refuse to refund me for the unused 2 weeks of the first month.

Please do not waste your time and money with this establishment. Your child deserves someone that will encourage their talents.
