I've been meaning to visit Rickshaw for the longest time and finally got a chance to today for an early dinner!
Food: For my drink, I got a Thai Iced Tea and it was delicious- tasted just how I wanted it to!
For our appetizer, we ordered the Fried Tofu. The presentation of it isn't the best but it tastes really good with the sauce that it is paired with. My only qualm about this was that it doesn't come with enough sauce initially, but we asked for more and got more sauce with no issue. I think that without the sauce it lacks flavor, so make sure you try it together!
For our entrées, we got the Thai Basil with chicken and the Panang Curry with chicken both at a medium spice level. I was very impressed with the Thai Basil, it really exceeded my expectations! The Panang Curry was also great, but the Thai Basil was definitely the winner out of the two. The portion size for the Panang is very generous, but the Thai Basil does not come with a lot of protein and it is less food than I thought. It's very yummy though and I would order it again! They also do a great job with incorporating the spice level into their dishes.
For dessert, we ordered the Fried Ice Cream and it was really good and was presented beautifully! My mom normally doesn't like fried ice cream but she liked this one LOL!
Service: David was our server and he was awesome! He had a smile on his face the entire time we were there and was very attentive and accommodating. The food also came out pretty quickly and everyone was really nice. I have no complaints about the service at all, shoutout to David again!
Atmosphere: Rickshaw has a very cute/stylish interior. It has warm, cozy lighting and the moment we entered we felt very comfortable! Each table has a cute little lamp and the restaurant is very small but that adds to the atmosphere.
TLDR: Really great Thai place, I will be back! Food is good, service was awesome,...
Read moreI went to this place on a weekday and had a great experience. Here is a summary of my experience there.
Ambiance 5/5: The small place has a great ambiance and looks trendy and upscale. They have a small bar and TVs to watch sports along with dining in. Apart from this, they have kept their Thai soul and I love the rickshaw outside the place
Service 5/5: The servers are really helpful and cheerful. They listen to your queries patiently and offer great suggestions and substitutions.
Food 4.5/5: The food was overall great both in presentation and taste. Here is the summary of what we ordered:
a) Tom Yum soup without Shrimp: Caution the shrimp is in the gravy as well so if you have an allergy, beware. Apart from this I really liked the taste, the only nitpicking will be that the quantity was less otherwise a delicious soup
b) Passionfruit juice - The juice was refreshing and tasty.
C) Masaman Curry - The curry is served with rice and the quantity is huge for one person. The chicken was tender and juicy
d) Drunken Noodles with Tofu - The tofu was soft and the noodles were delicious and full of green veggies. We had enough to get a to-go box as well.
Overall, Definitely recommended, and will come back again.
Recommendations: All the dishes...
Read moreIf there is an option i would rate them ZeERO. We went there with a couple of families to enjoy thai cuisine on 4th of July weekend and wanted to have good times over the lunch with friends. We were 6 adults and 6 kids ( 3 families). Multiple bad things occurred during our visit - 1: They asked us to sit in the patio in scorching heat at 1 PM, although they had place on their 1st floor to accommodate us. 2: the food was brought to our table with no silverware and plates. We had to remind them multiple times to bring those to the table so that we can start eating. 3: my wife ordered a Bankcock Mule (drink). They brought that in a broken cup with loose handle. While drinking the handle fell off and the entire drink fell on my wife’s dress. 4: they made me sit of a broken chair. A leg of which came out and i fully fell down on the floor and got hurt.
With all these hassles, the entire afternoon was spoiled. Kids and all of us were very upset. In order to make up for this they wrote off my wife’s drink from the check, which one would imagine wasn’t close to enough of a compensation. After some feedback and talks, all they did was to write off our drinks and we still ended paying for the entire food. Very very very bad experience. The staff is inexperienced and place is too cramped. Will not...
