My husband and I stopped in for coffee on a Saturday morning. We got a warm welcome when we walked in the door and the baristas were both helpful and friendly. Coffee was fairly priced and delicious. My husband got a caramel latte and I got the brown sugar cinnamon latte (which has homemade syrup). There was comfortable seating, and they support several different local artists. Definitely worth a stop in! We carried our coffee right across the street where there is a tiny natural area with benches and enjoyed the beautiful weather.

We drove into town in the early afternoon and saw the coffee shop and noted how nice and inviting it looked, but didn’t need coffee so late in the day. We were happy to see that it was open on our way out, especially since it’s Memorial Day. Turns out that they just opened on Friday! My husband had the Single Origin Drip black and I had the iced vanilla latte with oat milk. He said the coffee was “really good” and I loved my latte. I would definitely stop in if we’re in Alpine again and I recommend that you do too!

Stopped here March 7, 2025, for coffee. The tap-to-pay machine did not ask for a tip, and I asked why and the man, seemingly the owner, told me something like "I think it isn't right to ask for a tip befoe you get service." Hallelujah! The first considerate coffee shop owner I have ever met! I also liked the environment. And the coffee.

No food eaten, but the iced tea latte with lavender was wonderful. My situation is a yearly one: I am dropped off by a friend so I can ride Amtrak home. Now, Amtrak doesn't leave until 855p (when on time) and my friend is kind enough to bring me from her family's Bloys Camp Meeting in Ft. Davis to Alpine so I can catch the train. She needs to attend services, etc. there. Thus, I usually have at least a few hours to kill while I wait and Alpine doesn't always have places that are open by the time I do get there. This year, it was a treat to find two places to hang out during my wait and Vise was one of them. As said, the iced tea latte with lavender flavoring was great, but the customer service was almost better. One employee was quite helpful in providing me with suggestions on what to get at the restaurant where I had planned to eat. Going further, she was really easy to talk to and we had a good discussion on our favorite grilled cheese sandwiches. It was just an all around good experience and I really, REALLY hope Vise coffee will be there on my...
