Hello all, normally I wouldn't bother with a complaint or review but in this situation I feel as if it does need to be addressed. I'm a life long fan of Firehouse subs, we order from them usually at minimum once a week but lately we've been experiencing a few notable disappointments, especially at the Altamonte Drive location.
This will be the 6th time we've ordered fully involved subs and combos from this location, as petty as this is going to sound, they keep forgetting the pickle, I don't know about most people, but one of the reasons we choose Firehouse is because their pickles are just fantastic, we would gladly buy them by the jar if we could. Regardless of the missing pickle, there have been some inconsistencies, the wrong chips in the bag, no chips in the bag, and dirty tables when you walk into the location.
Today's visit between 2:00 and 2:30 in the afternoon resulted in;
No ice in the drink dispenser (which sucks for anyone who may be doing uber eats or doordash). Dirty dining area tables. The order was 30 minutes late in getting done. (Order was for 2pm and didn't get done till almost 2:30) Discovery that again there were no pickles included when I got home with our lunch.
While I can certainly understand being short handed, I can't help but view this as if I was the location's owner or manager, everything about that situation and the state of that location would be unacceptable and would be in immediate need of correction. My family will continue to support Firehouse and stand by their food, but I won't deny that we're considering going to the Lake Mary location which is a little bit longer from our home to pick our food up from now on.    Read moreTonight I brought my mom who is a huge Jersey Mike's fan to Firehouse Altamonte Springs. My experience at the Maitland Firehouse branch is 5 star. However, this location I will never visit again. Not one person in the store when we arrived said "Welcome to Firehouse!" or no one said it loud enough to hear, so all my mom herd was "what would you like to order?". We let the person behind us order because my mom needed to review the menu. there was no one eating at the location and only the 3 of us were in the store and our order wasn't ready for 14 min (I only ordered 2 subs). On top of that I get home and the $1.25 garlic and herb spread I ordered wasn't on my sub and I also asked the cashier to round up my order for the fire fighters. I asked why did the order take so long and the "Manager" in the red Shirt, Blonde headed younger guy said well if you can in 10 min earlier you would have beating the online orders. Please keep in mind, we are a live body in a physical location and we do not get priority at this location. We do at Maitland. When I told him I was upset he actually took his hands and brushed us out and said our opinion doesn't matter. I want to make sure Firehouse Corporate knows who this manager really is and expose his lack of leadership skills. This is not the example you set for the other 2 employees.    Read moreI came into firehouse today for lunch to go. When I placed my order for a small hook and ladder combo. Miracle (the lady at the register) proceeds to question if I was sure I wanted a small sandwich because itâs only 4 inches. Mind you Iâm not new to firehouse and Iâm well aware of what I would like to eat. When I asked whatâs wrong with that. She says with an attitude do you want the medium or not? The store was packed and I was a bit taken aback and frustrated that Iâm being questioned about my order then she takes the fountain drink cup and slaps it down for my drink. Sheâs rude to say the least. I would say maybe itâs her personality but then I watched her take other orders with a smile and patience. Sandwich was as expected service was trash. Maybe Miracle should just work the line. As a woman I donât appreciate someone questioning what I should eat in front of a store full of people. This isnât my first visit to firehouse.
