Quickly Cafe — Restaurant in Altamonte Springs

Quite possibly the weirdest people run this establishment.

I’ll start by saying, if you want asian cuisine, skip this place and go to Kumo Asian Kitchen that’s next door. They have incredible sushi burritos.

Today, I came in to get a poke bowl. They had no idea what I was talking about, yet it’s one of the largest sellers of their restaurant.

They wouldn’t let me choose two proteins for their “Custom Bowl”, I offered to pay extra, and they declined.

I was ordering a salmon and shrimp bowl and they said I couldn’t order both. I told them I would pay extra, and they said “we can’t do that”. They have a half-and-half option of tuna and salmon for the same price, and I asked if they could just charge me the “tuna and salmon” and swap the tuna for shrimp and they said “we can’t do that”.

I was trying to reason with her and understand why they couldn’t - I’ve been here plenty of times a year ago and it was no problem, but the only response was “we can’t do that”. Assuming both workers just could not comprehend that I want salmon and shrimp and I would pay extra, I tried again to ask in a different way and asked if they can ring it up seperate for shrimp and they again said “they can’t”.

They had no logical explanation why I couldn’t order a rice bowl with salmon and shrimp, even if I offered to pay extra. I can’t see why there would be an issue for them to do this, so I just walked out. The people who took over this location are just bizarre.

Additionally, I’ve come here before and while taking utensils from the counter, there was some crumby-gooey substances at the base of the utensil holder, causing all of the utensils to be filthy. I brought it to their attention and they did not bother changing out the dispenser or taking care of the situation. They just said “ok”. The entire time I was eating in the dining area, no one addressed the issue, they stood around talking to each other behind...

As a first timer at Quickly's, I tried a bowl and Boba Tea (of course).Unfortunately, it had to be the most flavorless, unappealing thing I've eaten all of 2018.

I truly wanted to give this place the chance it deserved because of how much I enjoy Oriental cuisine and Boba Tea. As any normal person would do, I took my order back to the register to explain how much I was unsatisfied with their food. Initially, I asked if I could possibly replace the food with something of equal value prior to asking for a refund.

The manager met with me and told me that they couldn't switch the food, but would be willing to replace the food if there was something wrong with it such as hair, under-cooked food, etc. Apparently this doesn't apply to unpalatable food. As it also turns out, THEY DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS.

In a poor attempt at offering great customer service, the manager offered me 50% off of anything I ordered from the menu. With that being said, I ended up leaving with a full plate of food in the garbage and losing 14 dollars that day.

My advice for anyone interested in visiting, avoid wasted money and a terrible dining experience by sticking to something...

I came in to order a boba and boa. Due to the lack of them having the menu up I wasn’t able to thoroughly view their prices. Don’t be fooled it’s not the first time they don’t have their menus up ive been there three times with no menus present so I’m sure the lack of their menus being up has always been and issue. I just never really cared because I use to only care for boba. Long story short the lady misunderstood me and charged my debit card for two boas when I asked 2 actual chicken boas in one container. When I received the order I informed her this is what I meant. In response she rudely said “you asked for two and I repeated what you said” I responded back “I also said just only two boas and maybe if you had your menus up we wouldn’t have an issue for me to know how many comes in the box” I informed her I don’t want the second boas is there a way we can fix this and conveniently enough she doesn’t know how to do returns after a process. Hard to believe because if McDonald’s and other square users could do it she could too and should’ve gotten her manager as the other girl was just viewing and not trying to find a resolution either....
