Charlotte's Kitchen — Restaurant in Altoona

0 out of 5⭐️. Been to Charlottes multiple times in Altoona. Service seems to get worse and worse with each visit. Came tonight at 7:30pm with 4 cars in front of me and quickly 6 behind me. I ordered a 3 piece tender meal and paid for it and was told to pull around(apparently a chicken joint didn’t have any tenders ready)I sat for 30 minutes waiting for my food and at the same time blocking the entire lane because I was waiting where they told me. While I was anxiously waiting for my meal I noticed 2-3 kids sitting down inside and a middle aged woman wandering around aimlessly. It was after sitting and blocking 8 cars(gained some more)for 30 minutes in the drive I FINALLY decided to go up to the door and look and try to get someone’s attention. At this time a young female grabbed my bag that was sitting on the counter for 5 minutes and was giving to me, no apologies, NOTHING. I work in the service industry and this was the most LAUGHABLE experience I have ever had a fast food joint. This is an ONGOING trend at this location. Fix it!

Edit: New or not, please don’t make excuses unless you were there, 7 people, 3 sitting down and the others doing god knows what. This was my 7-8th time there and it will be my last. All I saw were over a half a dozen employees running around playing grab a$$ not caring about customers. This isn’t my first rodeo. Ridiculous that I would get a response like that. No, excuses……just...

I know there’s some mixed reviews, and you’ll get that everywhere. I’ve never been to any restaurant, and had good food, and good service every time. This was my first time eating at Charlotte’s, and was happy with everything. Good food, fast friendly service. My compliments to the entire staff that was there today. You guys did it right. I wouldn’t change a thing. I live in Altoona, and I’m glad they’re here. Another place to get some good food.

Made a second visit to Charlottes today. I had the #1combo with a crispy chicken sandwich, paid the upgrade charges for some cheese curds, and a strawberry shake. I was very pleased with everything again. Food, service, quality, and quantity of food. I paid $16 for my entire meal, with the upgrade charges. With the size of the sandwich, the quantity of the cheese curds, and the quality of the shake, I feel like I received my moneys worth. My compliments again to the staff, I don’t believe any of it could have been any better...

Been wanting to give it a try and was waiting for the hype to die down. Arrived at 10:50 and was the 5th car in line. Once 11:00 hit the line started moving. Process was quick. Ordered the weekly special which was their Ghost Pepper Chicken. Got it home and had to sit it on the counter while I did some things really quick. Even after the drive home and sitting there, after the first bite there was steam coming off the chicken. It was that hot. Perfectly cooked. Nice and crispy. Pepper mayo was hot enough to make my nose run but not hot enough that it hurt. Bun was nice and soft. It was a perfect chicken sandwich. The hype is real. They are doing it right.
