I called for delivery on Thursday 10/5/17 and asked not once, but TWICE if they deliver to Mitchellville. I was told yes both times. So I ordered my pizza and was quoted a price for which I gave my payment info, and delivery time of 40 minutes to an hour. About 35 minutes later, I receive a call telling me that my order is ready and they don't deliver to Mitchellville, and would I like to come pick it up. Given that it's now 7:00 p.m. and I didn't have supper plans other than pizza, I opted to go pick up the pizza (a mere 5-8 minute drive). I got to the store and the front door was locked and had to knock to get their attention. I get in and see that my pizzas and breadsticks are sitting on an open wire rack, not even on top of the oven or anything to keep them warm. I paid for my pizza (less the delivery charge) and was assured that the only time I was going to be charged was for the signed receipt. Got home, pizza was lukewarm at best and breadsticks were cold and hard. Woke up the next morning and checked my bank account online, and sure enough, there were TWO PENDING CHARGES. I called to speak to a manager and he seemed to act like it was my fault for believing his employee who told me that they deliver to Mitchellville, and his words were "I'm not losing my franchise to make a delivery to Mitchellville". I told him that's not what was wrong with the scenario, but that he needs to educate his employees that if they are not sure, they need to check with someone who knows. His excuse? She's only been working there for 3 days. Ugh. He also assured me that the second charge would NOT be fully charged, and that it would not post to my account. Saturday morning, it was showing as a posted charge. So I was charged over $64 for two lukewarm pizzas and cold, hard breadsticks. Filed a dispute with the bank to solve the problem of double charge, but needless to say, this location won't get my business again. If the customer service would have been better and less defensive and accusatory, I would have given them a...
Read moreI would never order from Northern Lights Pizza in Altoona. I was told it would be an hour for delivery. So about an hour and a half later I called to find out where my order was. I was told it was out with the driver. Another half hour goes by and I called the store again. I told them that by now the pizzas would be cold and I didn't want them any more. Then the doorbell rang while I was on the phone. I asked the lady to hold on while I checked if the pizzas were cold and they were cold so I refused delivery. I told her that I was not going to pay for the order and that they better not charge my card. She said that they have a no return policy. Ok, hold on...I am an unsatisfied customer who did not receive delivery of a product. How can you charge me for that? Also, wouldn't you want to make a customer happy? I asked to speak to the franchise manager and she said she would try but he was making pizzas and I may not come to the phone. The only explanation I was given was staffing issues. Well that seems like a managerial issue if you have staffing issues. Not my problem as the customer. I will NEVER order there again and I better not have a charge for product I didn't receive. I wouldn't give any stars but it won't let you post...
Read moreThis was my family’s first time at northern lights in Altoona. Sorry to say, I would not recommend anyone to northern lights in Altoona. We order a taco pizza some wings, requested plain, sauce on side, breadsticks. They quoted an 45-60 minute deliver. Decided to pick up. Sent the wife. She arrived to a locked location and had to try and get their attention for like 5 minutes to gain access to the location. Once in, they gave her a plain taco pizza(no lettuce, tomato, Doritos) a box with breadsticks, and a box with wings. The wings were soggy and had sauce on them. The breadsticks were like warm. She arrived at home to realize we did not get any toppings for our pizza. She drove back and they treated her like she was swindling them out of a box with lettuce, tomato, and taco sauce. No sorry, no our mistake, ( which would have been sufficient) They have her a box with small bag of Doritos, lettuce turning brown, and a side of tomatoes and a see you later. Unfortunately, some sort of acknowledgement about multiple trips, having employees unlock their doors during business hours, and not living up to the fresh ingredients portion of their statement to the public. I would say order from them at...
